Recruiting and human resources is a good use for this tool. To some degree, reporting is fairly appropriate as well, unless you want super detailed reports, then I would say no. Anything related to managing candidate flow and making the recruitment process easier is where this tool is best used, upgrades need to be made so it's more useful in other areas before rolling out.

Well suited for tech-savvy companies & I think you would need to utilize all of the Engagedly features for it to be effective in the business - for example, if you only use 1 or 2 features, then I don't think it would be used enough to be worth having. I really like that Engagedly incorporates a range of features to give a good overall scope of enhancing employee engagement.

Pros

Cegid Talent

  • The commands and controls are fairly user friendly. This is a positive because as recruiters we don't want to waste time having to learn odd or awkward controls, we just want to intuitively click.
  • The original implementation process was fairly seamless according to industry standards. This made for a smoother rollout, testing, and implementation phase. We didn't waste too much time with overly complicated technical issues, etc.

  • The reporting function needs to be vastly improved. You can run the most basic reports, but if you want to get more granular it requires customization, extra fees, and involving a developer. This piece should be made easier.
  • The lag time between load screens, clicking new screens, etc. was very slow at times. We don't believe this was a connectivity issue, rather something on Technomedia's end.

  • Survey: ability to send multiple surveys at different timeframes to different users

Customer service is timely, and open to new innovations if they come across something they can't fix right away. They are also available when you need them for questions. They've gone above and beyond to work with me on issues, including hopping on the phone when they typically primarily communicate via email.

Technomedia stacks up below the other listed programs. It may solve the bare minimum of your issues, but when it comes to solving more complex issues and processes, it lacks. When you want to add additions or customize things, the process is very costly and labor intensive as well. If it were priced lower, it would make more sense, but there are much better solutions out there.

We used SharePoint Forms to make customized forms for ourselves but it did not work well. Our IT needed to build a system from scratch with a help of an external developer team and they were simply not capable of creating something that complicated. Engagedly already has a great platform and it was a life saver for us that we can just start using after the streamlined implementation period for a brief period of time. With SharePoint, we kept having weekly meetings for over 1.5 years to fix bugs, add necessary functions, etc. after the implementation.

  • The addition of new users or customizing other features has proved cumbersome, expensive, and requires additional resources.

  • The only negative impact I can think of is the time it takes to write a thought out review, takes away time from activities that count towards your daily metrics. In my case, being I'm in sales, it takes away time from where I can be on the phones closing deals.
