Certn vs. Checkr vs. GoodHire

Certn has been great! We've had exceptional customer service with them, and the few times an issue has popped up they've been so quick to help out. They definitely value their customers and provide an excellent overall experience

I wouldn't hesitate recommending it to any talent team hiring at scale. We run large scale hiring campaigns for field teams where new sites ramp up, think 50 plus employees. In those case, chekr's ability to launch and track checks in bulk is a lifesaver.

After confirming a candidate's information, they marked. The highlighted background checks' suspiciousness was decreased with a bit of additional information and intuition, and they turned out to be fine. Whether it be by email, phone, or chat, their customer care is really helpful. We use Gmail, which is linked to our GoodHire account, and we get answers quickly.

• The ETA calculation to predict when screening will complete for each background check report is good
• The SSO is a huge plus point and helps us to seamlessly login
• the chrome extension comes in super handy to add and update information
• the Background Screening tailored for various regions save a lot of time in formulating the same especially if your company is spread across multiple regions

• Allows you to make selections for each background check and cater it to the specific background check you are ordering
• Cost effective
• Quick and timely background checks come back after you order them

• If they are having trouble completing a background check - they will not notify the user
• Not mobile friendly

• It can be difficult to get support when you do have an issue.
• Account manager is not as attentive as we would like.

• Does not include ability to run bulk background checks
• No ability to "run and go" -- requires a few pages of clicking through
• Results older than a few months become archived & are held in a different section of website - making it harder to find them

There are more affordable options out there but checkr is reliable and it definitely an easy premium to pay for the reliability

It has plenty of customization that you can do to help with sending information to those who need it rather than to just one person for all things. Allowing for more workflow customization for your organization's needs.

We have not used any services other than Checkr. We started using Checkr over a year ago and have had no need to try other services. Checkr provides us with the services we need in an easy, complete format. Background / Criminal history checking are our primary use of Checkr and it provides these seamlessly.

Our previous vendor had slow turn around times, often we would see background checks taking weeks to return results to us. We would also note discrepancies in state compliance and have to point them out to be addressed by their system. Good Hire seems to be more compliant with state regulations and have had quicker processing times for our end users

• It is sped up our onboarding process quite a bit since background checks now happen at a pretty fast pace.
• Integration with our ATS has also kept our workflow simple, so my team doesnt need to get training on a separate software and manage multiple logins.
