We use Clari as the primary way to manage our sales business, our opportunities, and our forecasting. Clari provides a very clean, digestible, and easy to manipulate format to view and manage all of the Salesforce information. The fact that Clari is able to provide an easily customizable set of columns and groups, coupled with the ability to write back to Salesforce is fantastic. Anyone in a mature sales organization will find Clari highly effective at helping manage their funnel of opportunities and their business.

SAP Sales Performance Management from Success Factors works great if the incentive calculation is simple. However, if it contains a lot of constraints and filters or is dynamic, it is not friendly to changes or complexity in terms of configuration and time to calculate the incentives. The advantages of using SAP Sales Performance Management are that the process is controlled, the data is in the cloud, and the roles and permissions make it more secure.

  • Allows for complex compensation rules (Rate tables, MDLTs, etc).
  • Has the ability to build cross-channel (non-hierarchy) relationships. For us, this is very powerful.
  • Can build a large data warehouse of commissionable data.
  • Speed to market can be as fast as minutes.

  • Sometimes we'll update everything and it won't save so GTM teams have to do it again. Not sure if it's whenever we do platform updates.
  • As a manager I'm not able to reorder my teams names in the rows. I have to ask our Admin to sort A-Z which is time wasted

  • Allow an Advisor to see their compensation as well as how their employees compensation without requiring to proxy
  • Expose all variables within the application to the dashboard, to allow them to be used for data insights, without requiring any extra work.

Clari's UI does not resonate with new users. The backend query updating takes quite long time to update. Lots of fixes are needed without answers or solutions offered by the Clari team. If set up correctly with clear recommendations from the Clari team, all the previous issues may be resolved, however the usability is tied closely to set up.

Seven out of 10 due to it's strong automations which has simplified some our prior complex processes. The ability to structure our workflows and improve consistency has also helped with repeat tasks. The self-service of SAP has given greater visibility to our sales team members so they can track commissions and quotas. There is a steep learning curve and the system is complex leading to a bit of an average score

Clari is very willing to jump in and build out use cases. They will work to do anything for you. That said, their follow up is not great. We have had to reach out for follow up several times on a project, which is still not complete. I wish they taught us how to complete what we want, rather than doing it in house for us

At the time of selection, Clari was a more mature product than Xactly Forecasting. We did not want to experience growing pains with Xactly. Pipeline Inspection from SFDC was just becoming available. We had already selected Clari before we learned about Pipeline Inspection.

We looked at Varicent as an option. I liked the easibility of Varicent for rule writing. If you can write formulas in excel, you could write rules in Varicent. We also looked at Xactly, however, that was not a good option at the time because of the volume of transactions that we would be processing.
