ClickTime

We love how customizable ClickTime is for tracking billable client and program hours. It does a great job of reporting each pay period. We simply wish the mobile interface was more feature-rich. Because we can only specify how long someone worked (and not the specific time of day those hours were at) on the mobile platform it makes it very difficult for us to tell if someone was working inside or outside of their standard business contract day.

WorkflowMax

WorkflowMax is very well suited for a business that wants to track time billed by project, to have an easy way to generate invoices for those projects, and to keep track of overall productivity and invoice status. I imagine it can also be adapted to different types of businesses that deal in goods rather than services and time. I am not sure for which scenarios or businesses the program is not appropriate.

WorkflowMax

  • Allows for fairly simple or elaborate project forecasting depending on the complexity of the job. This allows us to track time by a single project or multiple phases.
  • Time keeping and coordination with invoicing software has increased our firm's ability to issue timely and accurate invoices to clients. Has ability to break down projects in numerous ways to meet the needs of our various clients. This means we can invoice by project, phase, milestone, or dollar increments.
  • Interface is clean and easy to follow. The easier it is to use the fewer mistakes that are made when entering information. This is greatly appreciated.

  • The ClickTime app works very well and is simple to use, however, I wish to see regular updates to improve the design and the layout of the app.
  • The custom reports and templates for reporting hours or expense report should be updated regularly to include more custom reports.
  • Overall, ClickTime does a good job, just a bit of work on the website design and ClickTime App would make the experience feel better while using it.

WorkflowMax

  • When looking at the job distribution it isn't to scale and it isn't printable.
  • Sometimes it is confusing as to where you might find something until you realise there are multiple points of access.
  • When a job is assigned the whole task is assigned and if you work on it before the task is allocated to you, it isn't possible to enter those hours. It would be better if the employee could choose the task they did and enter the hours and then it sent back to an approver to have it added.

ClickTime

ClickTime is the first product of its kind I have had to use at work. Previous methods were always based in Excel documents and involved a lot more manual and redundant work for the same end result. It would be great if there were a better tie to our project management tools for time estimation, but it does the trick.

WorkflowMax

Loan Assistant is a virtual business, entirely operated in the cloud. We do not have an office. Team members are located in diverse locations such as Munich, Canada and Sri Lanka as well as various locations in Australia. WorkflowMax is what ties us together. The fact that the billing is so tightly integrated into the workflow is a great strength. At this time we have been using Max for 6 years and plan on keeping using it. We have evaluated Slack but it didn't work for us.

  • Allows us to analyze time spent on "flat billing" jobs and make adjustments to those set rates as needed
  • Takes very little time to manage and enter time

WorkflowMax

  • Biggest impact has been automation of client invoicing. Prior to using WorkflowMax, invoices were generated in Word, usually a template from a prior invoice to that client. Now the invoice is generated in WorkflowMax, saved as a draft, exported to Word, uploaded to Microsoft SharePoint, then shared with the invoice author. This has cut down on mistakes and unnecessary admin time.
