Clicktools is a cloud-based survey software. It enables business users to collect information through surveys, call scripts, and web forms; automatically centralize the data in CRM; and act on those insights to increase loyalty. The program is offered by Callidus Cloud, which in turn was acquired by SAP in 2017 when the companies formed a strategic partnership.N/A

Chose Clicktools
In the past we have used Survey Monkey to complete internal surveys, the difference and reason Clicktools have been used going forward is because the ease and reporting that is within is much better and the ability to embed into Salesforce-specific scripts for specific account …
Chose Clicktools
Generally, I prefer simpler tools like SurveyMonkey and even Google Forms because those are the type of surveys I typically need. ClickTools gets the job done, and as you become more familiar with the tool, you can rip out surveys much quicker. Steep learning curve with more …
Chose Clicktools
Secure, integrated with Salesforce and allows for better graphics that can be presented to customers. It produces a valuable tool for our sales team by collecting data and turning it into something that is comprehensive and easy to navigate and fun to look at, vs numbers and …
Chose Clicktools
Our Salesforce admin pushed for Clicktools for the quality of the integration capabilities.
Chose Clicktools
SurveyMonkey and Wufoo are quite simple in their approach. They do allow a quick way to create forms, but Clicktools integration into Salesforce is what sets them apart. There's no third party tools and plugins to make this happen like the other vendors. A direct connection …
Chose Clicktools
We have used SurveyMonkey and SurveyGizmo, before switching to Clicktools. I would say all the systems were quite comparable in their survey collection, basic data visualization capabilities (at least 3 years ago). The reason we switched to Clicktools was to integrate survey …
Chose Clicktools
Clicktools is best compatible tool with Salesforce.
Chose Clicktools
The Salesforce automation is the key for me on why I converted from SurveyMonkey to Clicktools! I see that SurveyMonkey now offers this as well! Two years ago, it did not.
Chose Clicktools
Clicktools' deep integration with SFDC and the existing template for building and executing an end-to-end NPS program was the deciding factor when evaluating survey products. The NPS project initiated our product search, and Clicktools offered considerable experience and …
Chose Clicktools
We used to use a paid version of SurveyMonkey - the two products really don't compare. We had difficulty with logic and syncing the answers within our CRM system. We no longer have this problem.
Chose Clicktools
SurveyMonkey doesn't have the mapping ability of Clicktools, it's limited in what objects you can map to. GetFeedback looks great but it has limitations around language and deployment methods.
Chose Clicktools
The integration to Salesforce was key but we like the reporting on SurveyMonkey better.
Chose Clicktools
I really liked this product because of its integration with Salesforce.com. I really didn't entertain any other products.
Chose Clicktools
There was no need to create survey landing pages from Salesforce for external polls, we could decide where survey results were captured in Salesforce (if at all - can report straight from CT), and with simple html skills we could brand everything
Chose Clicktools
Clicktools was in place when I started the position. I have not felt the need to go and look for additional alternatives. I believe management use Timba Surveys previously and it was not as robust as Clicktools. Timba Surveys also lacked the online and live customer support …
Chose Clicktools
We have used survey monkey in the past, but use click tools for it's ability to sync with salesforce
Chose Clicktools
Cheaper solution with more Salesforce integration capabilities. SurveyMonkey wasn't quite as advanced as Clicktools was at the time we made the switch. Now we can fully customize Salesforce and pull specific data elements from a survey and populate them into any Salesforce …
Chose Clicktools
When we started looking for vendors to integrate with Salesforce, the only other product we investigated was "MarketTools". We had no prior experience with either but I believe the deciding factor and why we chose Clicktools was cost.

Cvent, Survey Monkey
Chose Clicktools
Survey Monkey. Other areas of the business use Qualtrix for research purposes.
Chose Clicktools
Price was the main factor. When we were talking to survey companies, a lot of them were really big about the robust features they could offer. We did not need robust features - we just needed to send surveys and integrate them with SFDC. It was hard to find a company that …
Chose Clicktools
The SF integration. We were also switching from Zoomerang amid a contract so we got a really good price for a couple years (which was largely a part of it).

For any organization that is using salesforce.com and needs to implement a survey system that directly ties back to their salesforce.com system I would highly recommend Clicktools. We tried building our own customer satisfaction survey and it was not worth the effort, especially as our questions are ever changing. The integration with the case module was easy to configure

Pros
  • Integration with SFDC: Makes it easy to trigger survey sends - and store survey results within SFDC - so that multiple departments and stakeholders can view results.
  • Hidden Questions - Since we are mostly surveying our customers, we use Clicktools Hidden question fields to improve the survey experience. This way we don't need to ask the person filling out the survey their name or company - but are still able to attach the survey to their profile within SFDC.
  • Ease of Use - Clicktools is a robust, yet easy to use software. As someone who manages a team of people that deploy Clicktools, I don't use the product everyday, but I have a very small learning curve when I do need to jump in and create a survey.

Cons
  • Using conditional questions (if yes, then skip to question 5, if no, continue to question 2) can be tricky initially. And it can be really tricky once you have multiple conditions that send a person all over the place. Be sure to test repeatedly so that you know that your customers are getting to the questions they are supposed to be at and not being kicked out early. There are certain nuances you will pick up on over time that make conditional questions easier - BUT you can clone surveys, so build once and then work off your own template.
  • No matter how many questions types are available, inevitably you will find a question in which Clicktools does not have a type to support it. They do have quite a few options though... just wish their matrix option was more robust.
  • Not many template "themes" to pick from - surveys look very bland.

We have loved using Clicktools and will continue to use it for the foreseeable future. The price and Salesforce integration is what really sets it apart from any other solution out there. I have learned a great deal about surveys and how to manage them in a CRM by using Clicktools. We will certainly be renewing our contract.

Usability
It's fairly intuitive, produces a great product and the customer support is fantastic. I only lowered the score because I find that the in-depth surveys that we run most often can take up to five minutes to produce results, which can be tiring since the interface only allows me to open one window of Clicktools so I can't run multiple results at a time. When I asked support if this was an issue that could be fixed they said it was because the graphics took time to generate the data.

Performance
ClickTools is always available when I need it. The interface is quick and does not drag. Survey responses show up quickly after a survey is submitted. The survey analyzer is swift as well. There is no waiting around for something to process when you are using ClickTools.

Support Rating
I get frustrated by not being able to find the answers to my questions online by myself. I would rather search FAQs and find things that way, but it seems I always have to contact support to get the answer I need. They need a more robust support center so you can do it yourself. But on the upside, when I do contact support, they respond immediately and usually solve my problem quickly

Implementation Rating
If you are setting up integration with a CRM (Salesforce) get this done early on in the process. You can always do it later, but it's easiest to lay your foundation first and then build up and around it later

Return on Investment
  • Increased employee efficiency: due to the fact that it links to the Salesforce, it saves time to update our stakeholder records. It is, at least, a 100% ROI.
  • Better customer service. The data we collect help us improve our operations. It is hard thought to estimate the role of Clicktools in the retention of our clients.
