There are no special resources needed to use Clicky - it works well for all the sites I've used it on, providing up to date metrics on visitors and actions. It started out as analytics particularly suited to bloggers and it's still very strong there, but I believe it can work in a wide range of scenarios.

FullStory

Without a doubt, I would recommend the heatmap and session
recording software to other businesses because it has very strong engine
analytics. It allows connecting the digital integration in metrics. We cannot
discover what the behavior of customers would be without them since it
provides all the insights into how the customer reacts.

  • look into user sessions interacting with a particular feature to understand how they are using it
  • be notified of places in the system where people are "rage clicking" to identify issues/inefficiencies

  • It's hard to find a negative feature about Clicky, but if I must pick one, it would be the fact that some reports are only available for limited periods, which means you can't get a one year overview of all aspects of your site. That's just nitpicking, though, as what Clicky offers is more than enough for most people.

  • Specific link tracking - There are a few links that show very low usage when comparing to our other analytic systems
  • User flow mapping - Would be great to see how different types of users are using the platform from login to logout

In addition to the factors already mentioned, Clicky is constantly being updated to improve functionality for users and the development team is extremely responsive. Recent updates include enhanced support for HTML5 audio and video tracking, additional visitor detail and new comparison trends. In my opinion, Clicky just keeps getting better

We brought in FullStory to our platform to help and Support and Engineering team with diagnosing and troubleshooting our software but its use has grown internally and now our product and customer marketing teams have adopted it. They find it very useful to understand how customers use our product natively and how they "hack" it, this allows us to make changes to our product that we'd otherwise not have known about.

Not being able to provide help/support during US holidays can be a bit of a problem since our support team works even during those times, and it would actually be nice to have somebody to turn to when the application fails to perform the way we want it to.

I don't know much on what it took to implement it in our platform, but I do know that the effort was minor and that it's running smoothly since the implementation, without any special actions required since (if comparing to other 3rd-party services we use ad that require "maintenance" from time to time).

I chose Heap and Tableau as two potential competitors because these provide a similar type of insight (how are customers experiencing your app) but from a different angle. In general I find the large scale, less personal data from these type of analytics vendors to be more actionable than what I get from FullStory, but there are times when the session-level insight of FullStory is valuable.

  • Over the 7 years I've used it, Clicky has given me a better understanding of where my main visitors are coming from, contributing for example to a decision to create content in US English rather than my native UK English because most visitors are from the US.
  • Clicky provided real time stats when few others were doing so, enabling me to respond more quickly to visitors interacting with my content.

  • It gives all the solutions of monitoring what is the original problem that the customer is facing as we cannot give a 24/7 live approach to queries and technical issues.
  • FullStory is the best solution to deal with this kind of problem easily by doing right on the spot.
  • The great feature that FullStory has that it provides a heat map of different customers visiting the website.
