Cognism vs. Cratejoy

Cognism works great for startups, scale-ups and large enterprises. It helps us close deals faster because we can very easily find the right people who can move our deal forward fast, and reach them directly instead of having to go through an HQ number/gatekeeper. It also saves us hours and hours on research we'd otherwise have to do manually.

I will not recommend Cratejoy to anyone I know because I had a very poor experience with them. Initially, in my research, I had contacted Cratejoy to understand their platform more. I was led to believe that selling on their 'marketplace' would allow me to take advantage of a lower selling fee. We discussed how I would set up my shop and they assured me that it was done correctly so I would pay the lower amount. It took me over a year to realize I was paying the higher fee, which is about 10 times higher than the lower one. Fees are not listed anywhere in the Cratejoy administrative panels. They are not being emailed and there is no information about them anywhere UNLESS you think to go into your payment processor and look at individual transactions. Clearly, it's my responsibility to look at these things and see why the math is not adding up. However, at the time I signed up this information was not clear and I was given incorrect answers to my questions. I was operating on an assumption that took me a long time to realize and ended up costing me thousands in fees.

• They give us a headsup if the phone number is direct, mobile, or HQ
• They advise us if the email is verified - that reduces our bounce rate.
• They also advise us if our prospect's number is in the DNC list

• The mobile number quality needs to improve as the connect rate is lower
• It should also add sub industries to contract the list and find ICP
• The AI assistant is not ideal

Cognism's UI is modern and sleek. While some functions like setting up sequences required a few more clicks than I think is necessary, every other feature is intuitive and easy to use. Everything is easy to find and users are able to quickly navigate to where they need to go for different use cases like research, email creation and sequence building

Whether it be their upper management or their customer support crew, they have always acted and treated me like they care. Probably because we make them a lot of money, but nonetheless they do a great job whenever any issue comes up. I even met them in person!

Cognism is great as its positioned itself in the middle of the pack from a pricing perspective, as it provides quality data for campaigns. The lower and cheaper options do offer it at a fraction of the cost but that just means that data quality is lower. Cognism is the best allrounder
