[Catalyst, by EBM Software] is well suited to track invoices from vendors to get them paid on time to avoid late fees. [Catalyst, by EBM Software] is less appropriate when paying vendor because that is not a function they currently have. If the system was an all in one system that could track and pay your invoices it would be an amazing software.

For our size and diversity in different fields, Sage Intacct is amazing for us. We have different divisions from Materials to Entertainment, Recreation and Real Estate and the companies are located in multiple states. The information we process comes from various sources and types of programs, but Sage Intacct makes it easy to get everything in the system by having pre-defined import spreadsheets that we can just fill in our information on and upload it. These are things that we used to manually enter back when we were with Quickbooks. Plus, not having to sign into a different company every 10 minutes made us all so much more efficient. That's something that I think would be a great deciding factor when debating if Sage Intacct is right for a company that is perusing their options.
Read full review Pros The GUI is easy to navigate on the iPad mini, which we use for charting. The options are simple so there is very little room for mistakes. Charting is easy and the setup allows for necessary fields that must be completed so charting stays uniform. Read full review I love the dimension balance report, it adds another layer to reconciling accounts. The account, location, department grouping ability make building custom reports much easier. Overall Sage Intacct is user friendly and easy to navigate, which makes training new staff easier. Read full review Cons The browser closes unexpectedly at times when refreshing the page and you get logged out The incorrect vendor is chosen by Catalyst a few times The Catalyst file is occasionally not placed on time in the folder Read full review Sometimes Sage Intacct takes more time than usual time to run a few reports like vendor master. And, looks to see some improvement here. Credit applications to vendor invoices are consolidated at the time of application and it could have been made individually. The audit trail is not up to the mark and it should track all the activities with complete details. Read full review Likelihood to Renew

Well.... when it works... it's good. When it doesn't it is very frustrating for our staff.

The ease of use as a seasoned user is wonderful; however, new users struggle to adapt to the program efficiently. Better training videos--all in one location--would be beneficial. The use of a "sandbox" environment is a great tool for new employees or for the fiscal department to test certain journal entries or other transactions to verify accuracy of data.

There has only been one occurrence where Sage Intacct was not available to me, however I had already been working a number of hours trying to get a project completed. It honestly allowed me to step back and take a much needed break.

As fas as integration is concerned I don't feel this slows Sage Intacct down at all. However, sometimes I do feel it takes some larger reports more time to load due to all the detail. As well as, I "move very fast" in my motions so sometimes I double click on fuctions too quickly and the system seems to think that I have a duplicate request.

The support for Catalyst is great and they are usually within the 48 hour response time. There could be a little quicker upload time for invoices that are submitted. They usually show up until the next day on the system and sometimes gives us a stress on time. Overall, the support is quite good

Only a few times have we had to reach out to support, and every time we did, we received a relatively quick response and a solution was found fairly quickly. Only once was there an issue that took longer than a week to resolve, but it still did eventually get solved.
I have taken in person training classes at several of the annual Sage Intacct user conferences. It is very interactive and the trainers are very easy to follow and understand. They are great at getting everyone in the class involved. They also make sure everyone has learned to task before moving to a new one.

The free training is very minimal. For what we pay for the service, I would like more training. We end up training new users in-house because the provided free training is not nearly comprehensive enough. That being said, the training provided, for the material covered, was adequate and relevant for the given topics.

I would not use a thrid party administrator to implement your system, especially if you are going to be modifying the system at all. Use Intacct implementors as they will be able to better support you on any issues that come up after you go live.

Microsoft Dynamics is not very user friendly and has too many functions to get to one result. Sage Intacct is helpful because it is user friendly and allows you to process reports and check registers with ease. The visual look of the application is very inviting and makes you want to work within.

You can do a lot with this system and integrate it with a lot of your additional systems you use daily.
Read full review Return on Investment Catalyst is better than pencil and paper data analysis. But the app can be very frustrating when it's not working the way it did last week. The GUI is very simple. Sometimes too simple, like there is no way to go back in and edit SOAP note options. New feature roll-outs are mandatory. I understand that no one would opt in to being the guinea pig, but it would be nice if you weren't the first user to try it. The integration with billing software has streamlined the billing notes and saved us money over having two separate systems.
