Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

Currently, we use Sage Intacct to primarily track AP and make Vendor payments. We plan to expand into AR tracking and reconciliations.

Pros

  • Create reports used to track AP.
  • Create clear and easy to mail checks.
  • Show you all open bills in one easy location.
  • Create filters and categories in order to show you specific information.

Cons

  • Very stingy with inputs - not a lot of room to make mistakes.
  • Working with top level vs categorical levels can be time consuming.
  • Not having to void checks every time a vendor is missing an address.
  • Positive - It runs better than our old software when we all work together, rather than having to sign off on each other and deal with syncing issues.
  • Negative - It's not as easy to go back to fix an amount, a date, etc. Sometimes, a very small mistake needs to be corrected by voiding and redoing the entire transaction.
  • We can successfully sync other software we use with Intacct! It reduces workload when things are automated.
Automation took a while and a few IT emails to get up and running, but once we figured it out, it works seamlessly. Gone are the days of sending reports 1 by 1 in our work emails - weekly reporting has become much easier. Hopefully, as we expand into Intacct, this feeling carries over to all reporting.
Unfortunately, we are still at the simple steps of using Intacct and haven't advanced to Consolidations, projects, or various types of management yet. As we expand into the system, we will have a better idea of how these additional programs affect the company as we grow.
We've been working primarily with an outside party with expertise on how Sage Intacct works. She's been extremely patient and helpful with us - setting up Zoom calls to navigate the different subsectors or Sage and reaching out to the customer service when we run into a snag. Other than that, we've been learning as we go.
For starters, ease of access works so much better in Intacct. Additionally, the availability of options for entering information into the software far exceeds what we've seen in other software, enabling more accurate reporting. The audit history also helps a ton when we're looking for previously posted information. I personally love that you can run Intacct offline to practice with these features.

Do you think Sage Intacct delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Sage Intacct's feature set?

Yes

Did Sage Intacct live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Sage Intacct go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Sage Intacct again?

Yes

Sage Intacct is great for companies that have a bunch of subcompanies, like we do. Unfortunately, it's not extremely convenient if your company is a solo small company, as the website can be overwhelming and not suit their particular company needs. The vast amount of reports and options are simply not needed.
