Spruce is an end-to-end business management software that allows lumber, home, and building supply businesses to manage purchasing, inventory, ecommerce, documentation, delivery, accounting, and sales analytics all within a single system for increased efficiency and profitability.
Ridder IQ is a system for production facilities. It is a good tool. However, there are not enough possibilities for CRM, finance, and MRP planning. At our company, we use Ridder as the main ERP package, and we do need further functionality in CRM and visibility in MRP planning.
Odoo has broader functionality but its functionality is not deeper. The PLM functionality of Odoo is not really CAD PLM but only BOM management. Ridder iQ is very easy in small customizations and bigger customization is also possible but with programming. Ridder iQ has a good …
Ridder iQ is specialized for our business and has people who bring a lot of knowledge to the table, so Ridder iQ is far more suited than a ERP solution which is not specilized in the make-industry. Furthermore, the customizability of Ridder stands out compared to solutions like …
I used unit4 in a previous organization, this system has far fewer options and I don't think it was suitable for Biron.
Spruce is possibly just above average. Not super impressed with usability and especially not impressed with tech support who is rarely able to answer questions on the first call.
The best in the complete production process. It provides the correct info in a very usable way. It is pretty good in sales, but the lack of discounts for sales goods and sales production is not ideal. On the other hand, ECI provides an excellent service for looking for custom solutions where we need them. I think my single most surprising and satisfying experience with ECI and its RockSolid Maxx and then Spruce products was the ease of implementation and rollout -- both on the hardware and software side. ECI seems to have mastered the idea of using an integrated team along with robust tutorials to make that process easy.
We have particularly pleased with the 'Payables' part of the Spruce suite. It's easy to use and functionality is light years better than our previous software.
Shortly after making the switch to Spruce our business underwent a detailed sales tax audit. Spruce's reporting functions were a godsend to us as we were able to easily address the questions posed us by our auditors.
Our sales force is staffed by multiple people with years of construction experience but little familiarity with computer. The ease with which they mastered the POS system surprised me.
The ability to copy item lines from receipts to a BOM
Adding photos to comment blocks in quotes makes the system slow. The photos are added in full size instead of asking for a small version.
Its nice software but it is very, very slow in webification and integration possibilities by using api's. Untill now the programm has client-server technology unfortunately. And there are far too less no code adjustments possible.
Ridder iQ is friendly to use. With the use of roles we can give a very good user experience to our employees; they are more in control of their tasks. Since we use Ridder iQ, the right information is available for everybody in our organization, all on demand. Dutch Translation: Ridder iQ is gebruiksvriendelijk.
For the most part when there is internet, we are able to log in and proceed to do our daily tasks which is very helpful, but we have also encountered a glitch on our laptop that we use to do inventory that switches to the last branch that was used. This, in combination with Spruce logging out of the remote connection daily, can cause issues if the person accessing Spruce does not have the remote connection password.
Ridder iQ is specialized for our business and has people who bring a lot of knowledge to the table, so Ridder iQ is far more suited than a ERP solution which is not specilized in the make-industry. Furthermore, the customizability of Ridder stands out compared to solutions like ISAH. Therefore, the choice was an easy one, because knowledge and customizability are important criteria.
