ESET offers are tailored to each customer’s needs. ESET takes pride in working with customers and partners to find the perfect solution for their security challenges at the right price. Contacting an ESET partner or sales representative ensures each solution is made-to-measure and precisely fits the size, complexity of IT environment and level of protection to match the customer’s business requirements.
Veeam sells through channel partners. Contact a partner for detailed pricing and quotes. Resellers or sales personnel are available for assistance.
We used ThirtySeven4 antivirus before eSet, and we were underwhelmed with its protection and another of our offices was compromised with ransomware under its protection. We had changed to eSet about a month prior and it stopped the attack when one of our staff opened the email …
I have only used Veeam from the start. It was recommended by my vendor. I reviewed all products available at the time, prior to making the decision to go with Veeam. There are other good products out there, but I think Veeam is absolutely the best!
It has almost no effect on PC operation and can be used as usual. The security detection can be programmed according to the usage time, so it can be configured. The low price is easy to introduce. Then, if the number of additional licenses increases, it will be discounted, so it is suitable for the corporate introduction. Regular updates are available, so you can rest assured.
Veeam Data Platform excels in scenarios where data protection, availability, and efficient management are paramount. It's well-suited for: virtualized environments, business continuity/minimal downtime, & multi-site data replication. For virtualized environments, Veeam seamlessly integrates with VMware vSphere, making it ideal for businesses relying on virtualization for cost-effective and scalable IT infrastructure. In scenarios where uninterrupted access to critical data is vital, Veeam's rapid recovery capabilities ensure minimal downtime. Also, Organizations with dispersed data centers benefit from Veeam's robust data replication, enhancing disaster recovery preparedness. However, for small-scale operations with limited virtualization or simpler data needs, Veeam's comprehensive feature set may be overkill, potentially making it less cost-effective in such cases.
Price a little expensive - ESET is a great product, but it is priced at a high price and in a market as competitive as antivirus and security tools, this can weigh in the balance.
Complexity in creating rules - it's quite complex to create rules in ESET, you end up wasting some time on it, it could be more intuitive.
Repository management, allow administrators to rank the repository order to use.
Repository management, based on prior backup jobs or a scan, reserves space on a repository. That way the space is low and another job starts, it will not cause the other job to run out of space.
Licensing, seems like some of our VM are counted twice.
I'm giving it a 10, because I would totally have no reservations about staying on with eSet for another 3 years once our contract comes up for renewal. We are looking to transfer to a different product in January, however. This is due to a special pricing contract with the state of Ohio that made a normally much more expensive product very affordable and was cheaper than our coming eSet renewal cost. This is a very special case only available to government and educational organizations, but had that not been offered, we would have gladly stayed with eSet.
I really have no complaints about Veeam Backup & Replication. Their service has been excellent and the cost is minimal in comparison to other services I checked out. Implementation wasn't simple and the Veeam Support team was there to help each step of the way.
Veeam is fairly simple in terms of how it is set up; its not an overly-complicated dashboard that can be intimidating to less technically-inclined users. Veeam also offers good instructional videos to help users work through how to do specific functions. I appreciate that they have specific video tutorials rather than having users scroll through a cumbersome manual.
The Veeam Backup & Replication solution is up and running every time you need it as it was planned. In more than 3 years that we have been using the product every night, it might have failed or presented an error once or twice, so the availability percentage is almost at 100%.
Veeam does a good job with backing up our servers in a timely manner. We are still at the beginning of our Veeam use and are pleased with the speed at which we can access the system as well as the backups and restore points. Veeam is definitely superior to our previous backup system in terms of speed and accessibility
Excellent support from ESET and when we had questions regarding the initial deployment they were there. The questions we put forth were answered immediately with great detail. Any of the items we put forth, scenarios, were given a good solution from ESET to fit our needs. This company stands by their product and are happy to step up when needed.
The support team has never asked me to jump through silly hoops or waste time on pointless exercises. They seem to truly have a handle on what may be wrong. In fact, when we were having trouble getting our license renewal setup (because of yet another license migration at Veeam) a support incident got us connected to the right people to get our renewal done in time.
Do the full scan at the beginning and be prepared to wait until it is done. It will find things you did not know were there. You can leave on the Apple firewall as well as the ESET firewall. There have been no conflicts. Remember to remove emails from being backed up, so you do not have spam on your backup! This was the mistake I made.
(I assume this question should say "Veeam" and not "Crownpeak Universal Consent Platform") Planning is key. Planning your backup schedule, size, data restore points, replication if you're doing that, &c. Testing is also important; make sure you back something up and then do a test restore. Set up alerts so you know if things aren't working (or even if they are, always good to know that too).
I'm a huge fan of ESET, the other companies seem to have either gone off the deep end by adding advertisements or they add too much and slow down the whole program, which slows down the whole PC. I haven't heard others with the same reputation as ESET either, I know of many people who prefer ESET over others as well
We used Zerto and CA Arcserve to address these needs without migrating to Veeam Backup & Replication. Zerto is a very successful instant backup and we are still using it now. It does what Veeam application cannot do in instant replication. CA Arcserve, on the other hand, is clearly lagging behind the Veeam Backup & Replication product and does not meet today's requirements.
In terms of scalability for our company, Veeam was able to cover our backup needs with ease. They have options for even more individualized backup if we were to need them; i.e. if a specific workstation needs its own independent backup. We have not used these resources yet, but I am confident they will be beneficial to our company in the near future.
Veeams platform has contributed to substantial cost savings by streamlining our data management processes and eliminating the need for multiple backup solutions. The consolidation of our backup strategy has reduced software licensing costs and hardware requirements.
The robust data protection and recovery capabilities of Veeam have significantly reduced downtime in the event of data loss or system failures.
The user-friendly interface and automation features of Veeam have improved operational efficiency. Our IT team can manage backups and recovery tasks more effectively, allowing them to focus on strategic initiatives.
While Veeam excels in many areas, we have encountered some administrative challenges, such as the delegation of restore tasks to non-technical personnel.
