GaggleAMP is well suited when you want to get timely local language content out to folks in other countries/regions, or content for a specific group/department. It is also well suited when you have multiple Gaggle content managers with multiple content calendars. It might be less appropriate if you want to hold multiple Social contests (gamification) with different rules, scopes, leaderboards, etc. for different groups/tags as there is only one leaderboard.

MobileMonkey would be great if you have a really strong social media presence and want to capitalize on people visiting your pages. It's great if you have a tech friendly audience who is not afraid to talk to a chatbot. If you have an audience where they might be uncomfortable or more of an "uptight" audience then it might not be fore you. It's also not great for heavy B2B if your focus is on high level targets as they're likely not logged in to Facebook at work. B2C is probably the best function for MobileMonkey, although it could be used to help field support messages.

    Cons
    GaggleAMP
    • There are no out of the box implementations to get started quick.
    • The campaign manager could be more involved and vocal about recommendations and how to implement them.
    • I'd like deeper insight into what my employees do and do not like to share.

    • Terrible marketing ethics!
    • 6am phone calls to my cell trying to up-sell me
    • Spam galore! I have replied more than 5 times to be unsubscribed, yet they still spam me

Customer service has been good. It's easy to use. It's cost effective. It's a good way to expand your social presence and get your employees more vested in branding the company without spending a ton of money. There are bells and whistles that may be good for other users. I just haven't had the time to use them

    Support Rating
    GaggleAMP
Support for GaggleAMP is easily the best customer support I've experienced with any software tool. Our rep, Sam, is dedicated to our account (no bouncing around a call-center bullpen), and is highly proactive and eager to help us succeed. Most of our interactions have nothing to do with problems, but rather opportunities to optimize our use of the tool and set us up for greatest success. GaggleAMP sets a gold standard for customer support!

MobileMonkey support is second to none when you have a paid plan. Always willing to help and make your life a lot easier when you're facing any technical difficulties or frustrations. When I was on the free plan, I found plenty of useful resources that helped me solve my problems, and I could still contact support for help.

    GaggleAMP
A former colleague suggested EveryoneSocial, but I think that GaggleAMP has more industry experience in terms of employee advocacy and social engagement. While it did appear somewhat easier to use, it didn't have all the features and attention to detail that GaggleAMP provided such as the detailed reporting and the specific activity suggestions I was looking for.

MobileMonkey is a lot less expensive than both Olark and Drift. We chose MobileMonkey because we were hoping the familiar interface and integration between social and the website would drive more interest which would lead to conversion and revenue. It's more of a chatbot than Intercom in that Intercom is really good for customer support, but MM is a nice way to get people interested by sharing high level data through a conversation that doesn't require a real person. However, Olark, Drift, and Intercom all integrate with the major CRMs and marketing automation platforms which gives them a real edge over MobileMonkey at this time.

    • Take this with a grain of salt, but our company's all-time CPC (cost per click) savings is $1.85 M ($184,116.95 last quarter).
    • GaggleAMP has become an important part in getting our employees and partners to engage with us on Social Media more regularly - a great tool for getting information out there.
    • Brand awareness.

    • It has become a quick sunk-cost due to the amount of time I had to spend ignoring/blocking their unsolicited marketing/communication attempts.
