Greenshades vs. Workday Workforce Management

We used to have ADP for payroll, the gold standard. I guess to save a few bucks my company switched to Greenshades. From time to time my payroll stub does not show up on time. I asked my HR department about this and was told they are not fond of Greenshades. I call Greenshades to ask about the delay. They do not have any support contact information on the employee website I use to get my payroll information. I had to google them and found a support contact on their website. Not good. When I spoke to someone to ask about the pay stub delays, he hung up on me.

Workday is well suited as am employee because it allows me to easily access pay and goal-setting information at a large org. It also made the process of getting hired and initially onboarded simple. I imagine it could be less helpful at a smaller organization where people have more direct access to folks in payroll

• The tasks function is somewhat clunky, and its hard to see who the task is sent to next in order to follow up with them.
• In-process referrals don't always show up in the "My Referrals" tab
• Filters on tasks don't always work.

Workday Payroll and Workforce Management is a great resource, it makes the payroll process and HR functions simple. If implemented properly, there are well defined roles and it does much better than most payroll systems currently out there. The day to day functionality is very easy and pretty easy for time tracking, and teammates to view the systems.

In my previous place of employment, we used the Paycom system as our resource for managing hours and time. I do believe that the Paycom system had more privacy and safety aspects implemented with their software. However, Greenshades Software is a very user-friendly website that provides all of the resources that are necessary to do the job well!

• Because of the mobile app, it made it easier for student worker to submit their time when they are at home.
