Considered Both Products
IFTTT
Chose IFTTT
Less programmatic capabilities, somewhat simpler design interface. More sophisticated events supported per task. Ultimately, the kinds of tasks that need automation are simple, and a simple/easily maintainable user interface ensures no more time than is needed is spent on this …
Chose IFTTT
Zapier is always trying to feed me information I don't want, whereas IFTTT has a clean, easy to use website.
Microsoft Flow is time-consuming to set up, IFTTT isn't. In my line of work, time is very important. I need to do the work and get it done.
Automate doesn't offer the …
Chose IFTTT
I initially was using Zapier for some of my simple integrations but started using IFTTT for some of our project work as it allowed me to do logical connections between applications. While it's great in some areas, it can be improved upon to allow for more deep configurations.
Chose IFTTT
We have used Microsoft Flow, Stringify and IFTTT for various solutions. Stringify is no longer an option as it was shut down. We have found that IFTTT and Flow both have their place and in some places working together for the same task. We have found there is no one …
Chose IFTTT
On inspection, it did not seem as simple to use. In fairness I was very happy with IFTTT and did not spend much time looking into Zapier
Chose IFTTT
IFTTT is free and easy to use, where Zapier has a freemium business model. We actually use both platforms for different things. I prefer Zapier for more complicated connections, where IFTTT allows us to have more connections without the added fee. Additionally, IFTTT allows us …
Chose IFTTT
As IFTTT, Zapier also helps users to connect apps and services, but it seems more directed to the corporative world. While IFTTT provides support for home devices (as lighting and security systems) and voice assistants (Alexa, Cortana, Google Assistant, and Siri), Zapier …
Chose IFTTT
IFTTT has worked better for us than Hootsuite because we utilize it spur of the moment and only have to post to one platform. Once that post is done IFTTT does the rest and we're good to go. Using the native social media apps and software has allowed us to schedule posts in a …
Chose IFTTT
Honestly I use both, since Zapier is a bit more robust. However, IFTTT is much easier to use and configure. It is much more friendly.
Chose IFTTT
I am using both but for different uses. DLVR.IT seems to be opimized for social media sharing only, whereas that is only a small part of what IFTTT does.
Chose IFTTT
Compared to Buffer, IFTTT has a far greater reach and scope, across numerous Social and off-site platforms. If you work in SEO, Content, or marketing in general, marrying IFTTT with Buffer will provide functionality you otherwise pay for.
Chose IFTTT
Office 365 has a program called Flow that functions similar to IFTTT, however, IFTTT has more integrations with 3rd parties and Flow has problems with getting triggers to go off properly. Unless there were some corporate requirement to utilize Flow only or limit integrations, I …
Chose IFTTT
I haven't used Zapier extensively, but it seems that IFTTT is much simpler to set up. However, Zapier appears to be a much deeper integration where you can sync a variety of fields of data and customize the sync more than you can with IFTTT. Zapier may be more valuable for …
Chose IFTTT
In my mind, the only real competitor to IFTTT is Zapier. Zapier is great because of the amount of SaaS tools that it has, but Zapier fails in the ease of use category. Zapier's website is slow, and the integrations can be confusing to set up. IFTTT is simple, easy to use.
Chose IFTTT
IFTTT has more "end user" connections that Zapier thus making it more for users and less for power-users.
Chose IFTTT
In the past, I have run scripting on a Linux server to provide some level of integration of some of the smart devices in the workspace. This had always been cludgy and at times unreliable as it oftentimes fell victim to idiosyncrasies in the devices being controlled. IFTTT …
Chose IFTTT
These products are not really the same. While I use a three to track mentions, competitors, and keywords, IFTTT provides the ground for automation.
Chose IFTTT
Actually, I have not used any other programs or services similar to IFTTT as of yet.
Chose IFTTT
Zapier is a more in-depth if-then statement builder with way more detailed integrations to hundreds of applications as well as different tasks that can get implemented within your if then, then that statements. Way cooler and there are certification options that help you get to …
Chose IFTTT
While other paid services might give your a little extra features and possibly a connectivity with enterprise application, it's nearly impossible to beat IFTTT with the cost factor, ease of use, hundreds of channels and a great community of users.
Chose IFTTT
IFTTT has the most integrations, the least bug recipes and it is the cheapest alternative. IFTTT has also been in the game for years. Automation for the people! You cannot get the kind if ideas from any other integration site, and many are missing key apps like Instagram or …
Chose IFTTT
Truthfully I use both of these products. IFTTT is a very robust app but it does not get any where near as robust as Zapier. But although Zapier is more robust, for simpler tasks IFTTT is not only easier to set up, but gets the job done just as well. And now that IFTTT is …
Chose IFTTT
IFTTT is great for personal, home-life use, as it targets social media, personal email preferences, and home-automation devices. Zapier is much more business-oriented and does not provide integrations with Amazon Alexa or WeMo home devices.
Microsoft Power Automate
Chose Microsoft Power Automate
Microsoft Power Automate is defintitely more business user friendly and citizen developer friendly. It doesn't require knowledge of Javascript, etc. Just simple drag and drop interface.
Chose Microsoft Power Automate
I have evaluated Microsoft Power Automate against other workflow automation options, including Nintex, Joget, and custom-built solutions. Overall, Power Automate provided the best balance of integration, cost, speed, and governance for our needs. Power Automate is Low-code, …
Chose Microsoft Power Automate
We are using Microsoft Power Automate alongside other tools, always judging the automation scenario, necessities and limitations. Compared to UiPath e. g. Microsoft Power Automate does not offer the same customizing abilities. However it is much more advanced considering the …
Chose Microsoft Power Automate
In our experience, Microsoft Power Automate fails with throttling and became unusable to meet our client deadlines. Nintex did not experience throttling issues for us.
Chose Microsoft Power Automate
Power Automate can do many things that most platforms can't do as a 'citizen-developer' with no access to coding tools and deployment. It allows you to develop and deploy low/no-cost automation flows quickly. The blocks in Powert Automate do the API work for you, where you only …
Chose Microsoft Power Automate
Power Automate don't require additional license like Nintex. Also, plenty of connectors in Power Automate connect external systems and applications.
Chose Microsoft Power Automate
We preferred PowerAutomate due to its integration and security within the M365 suite which our business was already using.
Chose Microsoft Power Automate
SharePoint Designer was discontinued and was limited in functionality, being as old as it was. Nintex was powerful, but at the time we were using it, it was primarilly tied to SharePoint, and we wanted to do more outside of SharePoint as well. And Tibco Integration (Scribe) was …
Chose Microsoft Power Automate
Firstly, it came with organizational license, so it was available to everyone, for some of the automations that we're not able to do so when we took license for other tools it was more difficult and tedious to do hence, we had to shift back to Microsoft Power Automate. License …
Chose Microsoft Power Automate
Microsoft Power Automate is worlds ahead of Zapier in so many ways. The looping, DOM access, and flow controls are much better. I feel that accessing different data within previous connectors used in a flow is much easier in Microsoft Power Automate as well.

The custom …
Chose Microsoft Power Automate
The Microsoft Power Automate have the browser based access which doesn't require any tool installation separately. Whereas for the Uipath, many dependencies are needed for the flows. We need to purchase the separate License for the UiPath but in case of the Power Automate, it …

Chose Microsoft Power Automate
I have many years of experience with Nintex applications and it stands up very well against Microsoft Power Automate. I hope Microsoft Power Automate can become the better workflow application. With the Integrated AI builder and continuous updates I expect they can become the …

Chose Microsoft Power Automate
  1. Power Automate beats UiPath basically from a costing perspective. I prefer Power Automate over UiPath because of its different costing segments that make it way cheaper than UiPath.
  2. SmartSheet provides a number of functions when it comes to dealing with and showcasing tabular …

IFTTT is a great tool for people wishing to integrate different productivity tools, but who lack the resources and/or knowledge about programming these connections themselves. Anyone who uses at least email, calendar and social networks on a regular basis can benefit from IFTTT. However, it probably won't be appropriate and/or relevant to casual users, or users inexperienced with the many possible links between smartphones and online apps.

Very useful RPA tools for automating processes with minimal coding and drag-and-drop functionality, with a wide variety of triggers, including scheduled time-based triggers and activity-based triggers, such as modifying a file/list in SharePoint to run a Power Automate flow. Very easy-to-use UI with native integration with every Microsoft product, and a very low automation failure rate for deployed workflows.

Pros
  • Their UX and UI for creating recipes is brilliant. So easy to use and very well thought out.
  • I love that you can search for recipes other users have created and implement those if you choose to do so. It saved me so much time vs. having to figure certain recipes on my own.
  • Their notification and syncing options are spot on. I love how much I can customize what I want to see. Their variety of apps is also phenomenal and I love that they're adding new integrations/apps every week.

  • Sending confirmation email to clients and user once the flow is triggered.
  • Fetching or Dumping files from one location to another if the flow is triggered.
  • Schedule flow helps to send alerts and triggers the flow at a specific interval of time to carry out the required task.
  • Power Automate also be used to convert any file format to a specific file format and save it to the required location

Cons
  • It would be nice if there were more business software platforms on IFTTT, but I think that will come with time.
  • I wish the site had an area to search pre-built integrations based on category or need.
  • There really aren't too many cons to using IFTTT, the service gets better all the time and continues to grow almost daily.

  • Steep learning curve.
  • It can be slow to develop simple solutions compared to other automation platforms such as Smarsheet.
  • Troubleshooting and developing can be frustrating without proper access to edit the code directly.
  • Only able to edit through the GUI and with expressions.
  • Many ways to do the same thing can be frustrating when you need to rework your flow.

There is no better alternative and although Integromat is new and the GUI is slick, they make you pay per push and IFTTT does not. The rest of the competition make you pay per integration or are just not as seamless in usage or have the depth of catalogue. If you use Zapier for instance, it is because they have an integration you have to use, not because Zapier does a better job.

Power Automate is a great product that has a vast array of options on how to use it. Your imagination is the only hurdle with using Power Automate as there is no limit to what can be done with the system. It has brought a lot of value to our business through the use of custom systems, connectors, and streamlining processes.

Usability
For the most part, IFTTT is great but it does have its limitations. You may only do one thing at a time. If you want branching logic it can be cumbersome and clunky. This it where something like Microsoft Flow does better. For simplicity, nothing can beat IFTTT for how easy it is to set up and use right out of the box

I have had a few issues with apps over the years. Compared to other services, ITFFF is the best choice but no service is perfect unless you build it yourself for yourself. ITFFF needs more tutorials on how to create a custom platform, but overall I will recommend it as an easy to use, time-saving service.

both Community support and Microsoft official support typically respond to (and resolve) reported issues in a VERY expedient manner, usually going above and beyond for education and bugfixing. I have been thoroughly impressed with the level of support I had been provided in the past.

I was part of the migration of classic SharePoint workflows and Nintex workflows. We didn't spend much time learning the new platform because of its user-friendly interface and intuitive drag-and-drop functionality. We have mostly O365 E1 and E3 licensed users, so they can participate in our Citizen Development program and utilize Power Automate to build day-to-day business processes.

I have evaluated Microsoft Power Automate against other workflow automation options, including Nintex, Joget, and custom-built solutions. Overall, Power Automate provided the best balance of integration, cost, speed, and governance for our needs. Power Automate is Low-code, rapid development, minimal maintenance, faster changes, and iteration. Compared with Nintex, Power Automate has a strong workflow designer, lower licensing and operational costs, a separate vendor ecosystem, but Power Automate has Native Microsoft 365 integration, included or incremental licensing, and a strong roadmap with AI and Copilot.

Return on Investment
  • IFTTT was a free program for us and has worked wonders.
  • The time that it saves us when it posts across platforms is great because we only have to post one picture and caption and it goes out to all of our social media accounts.
  • IFTTT has definitely helped us to communicate more and in better ways.
