Likelihood to Recommend I always recommend this product to companies of all sizes who are looking for a reliable way to add virtual interviewing to their assessment strategy. There are 50+ vendors in this space right now but none of them have been around as long as InterviewStream. Their product is especially good for high volume scenarios but we've used it for all levels from executives down to hourly employees. We even used it internally for succession planning interviews and internal mobility
Read full review VidCruiter is best suited for those that want to be paperless and go the digital route. VidCruiter gives the option to record the live interviews so they remain on the platform if we ever need to go back to review. In my opinion there is not a scenario where this is not appropriate, because if you don't see a function of interest, VidCruiter will consider creating it or figure a way to make it happen for you
Read full review Pros Simple interface. It's not a flashy product with claims of artificial intelligence or machine learning, etc. It just gets the job done for a fair price. Reliable. While we have had some minor issues from time-to-time with live interviews, the recorded interviews have worked fine in several countries around the world. Support. Our customer success person was always available and helpful. Read full review VidCruiter is my first Applicant Tracking System but it was still relatively easy to set up exactly to our needs and there was lots of support over email and the phone / internet meetings during the setup and after. It is easy to use and update too, no coding ability needed. The integrated video and live interviews are unique to VidCruiter and why we chose it over competing products. They are easy to setup and use and provide the HR staff with a much more personal feeling for who the applicants are. The auto rating of the applicants and their references along with the easy rating of applicant video interviews and any other data entered sorts applicants after what abilities are important to your company and makes it easy to start with the most suited candidates and work your way down. A better database of technical interview questions. You should know! Read full review Likelihood to Renew This is our first season of using VidCruiter or any ATS. We are very happy with the time saved and level of organization and clarity that using VidCruiter has provided. We have a ton of ideas for improvements for the next season, and the flexibility of the system, the easy setup and maintenance and the very responsive support from VidCruiter makes this easy.

Read full review Alternatives Considered We looked at several video interview companies when we made a purchase decision. With the exception of
HireVue , they're all about the same. We just went with InterviewStream because they had the most experience in the industry and their pricing was fair.
HireVue is a premium product who tries to distance themselves from the video interview space by claiming that they are a collaboration/training tool or an AI assessment tool. They're wayyyy overpriced for what they offer if you just want video interviewing. And their sales process is high pressure and a little bit slimy to be honest. If you need a proven tool that has been around, InterviewStream is good.
Read full review We selected VidCruiter over
Spark Hire mostly because of the ability to edit rubrics. In a world where equity is at the top, we must be able to rate candidates in a non-biased way and being able to edit the rubrics allows us to do so. We also through customer service was top notch at VidCruiter and decided to keep using it (we considered switching to
Spark Hire at one point)
Read full review Return on Investment We took a 7 step interview process in one of our high volume areas down to 3 steps. This saved 2 weeks in time to hire and increased our conversion rate with top candidates by 20% (presumably because we moved faster). We saved $100,000 minimum in travel expenses in the first year. We don't know the exact amount because much of these costs are hidden in the business, but we could track at least $100k in hard costs. Negatively, I'd say we lost a little bit of street credibility on sites like glassdoor where people would vent that they didn't like recorded video interviews. Over time that feedback dwindled as this strategy has been adopted by more companies. Read full review It could be a great ROI for those who are able to manage daily When not in use, overall contract terms still apply. Does need a good amount of time invested in using.
