I think anyone can use host a meeting using Jitsi easily. It has user-friendly UI. It can be used for daily meetings, small online conferences, etc. Jitsi is best for having a quick conference call without having to think of its setup process. You can also create a separate lobby for people to wait while other people are busy talking in the main room.

For me, the main feature that separates Jitsi from other is the way how I can host a meeting. I can have both a public room as well as a secure private room with a password.

Mikogo has simple features and is easy to use. If you don't need lots of bells and whistles and just want to screen share or video conference on a small scale Mikogo works best. Join.me & TeamViewer are a bit confusing for the novice small business person. My experience with LogMeIn has been that it's sluggish. GoToMeeting works great but is pricey for the small firm that mainly does one-to-one support/training. I couldn't get Zoom to work right.

  • All in all, jitsi has made the communication between team members easy. Hosting a small meeting is not that difficult so people wo are working from home do not hesitate to start a meet whenever they feel needed.
  • Remote working is not possible without proper communication and jitsi has been used for communication in my organization. So, it has been a very usefull tool for us.

  • Zero positive impact
  • Spend just a little more with products like AnyDesk and get some real ROI
  • Short term, the product can be used on a trial basis (or at least it was available as a trial)
