LogMeIn Rescue vs. RemoteView

This remote support tool is essential for the IT environment and is a must-have compared to other applications. From my point of view, it's well suited: it's easy to use, access, and transfer data, and it reduces time and workload. Occasionally, it is unstable and freezes due to network issues, and session quality can be affected. Overall Works best for IT organizations.

RemoteView is a technical customer success expert's dream. It allows us to remotely view, gain access, and control/modify a device that we do not have physical access to. On customer calls, we are able to log into the customers' Google admin console and help correct some issues on the client side, which leads to higher customer satisfaction when working with our company. RemoteView removes the necessity to be on-site with the user and their device and greatly increases our output.

• By default it would be good to have clipboard sync enabled - disabled instead. So difficult when copying from my computer doesn’t work because of an agent sharing the connection and it will not let us copy information into the client’s computer.
• Copying into excel is difficult. It will deselect things that you have highlighted when copying.
• Would be nice to make the hierarchy easier when sharing files between clients and us.
• Logging into certain environments can be challenging and require customers to be fairly techy to be able to understand how to get logged into client’s computers.
• Sometimes login is pretty unstable on certain internet connections even though they are fine when they use team viewer with their IT.

Since we have not had anything other than a couple minor hiccups with LogMeIn Rescue and due to the overwhelming success we have had in implementing as well as utilizing LogMeIn Rescue, I cannot see any reason why would consider looking elsewhere. Overall, we have been highly satisfied with LogMeIn Rescue and have no intentions of making a switch.

Yes, overall, Rescue suits users with varying levels of technical knowledge. It is a tool many people can figure out and use. It is user-friendly and offers a strong chat/support system to help users who are struggling. Overall, I would recommend this tool to many.

We have never had to access support because the software has always worked as expected. It is great to have a software vendor from whom we know we will have no issue with glitches or incompatibility. We do know, however, that if we did have an issue, we would have our issue resolved quickly.

Teams is less secure and poses a higher risk of exposing tech Support and clients to additional sharing of info, i.e., face and personal email addresses; however, Teams is used when the client has a firewall that prevents rescue and no IT support nearby to bypass or enter the firewall password.

TeamViewer had issues in the past with latency, and for that reason, we switched over to RemoteView. It seems quite clear now that RemoteView has the strongest feature set in this space, and has greatly corrected the latency issues. I am not sure if TeamViewer is still used today, but we are very happy with the feature set that RemoteView offers our company. We are able to improve our ROI based on the features we get from this software.

• LogMeIn is very cost effective as it allows you to keep functioning without having to travel onsite for every little need. I have personally used it internationally and precluded having to had clients ship in their devices for service saving postage, and downtime of their devices.
• We have used this tool to clean infected pc's which got hit by malware both onsite and remotely saving time, travel expenses and or shipping by just logging into their pc's and performing tasks and routines to disinfect and remove viruses and malware.
• Installing, managing and maintaing server upgrades and patches to software as well as preventive maintenace is easy with this tool keeping remote servers and even local servers optimized.
