Rescue has become a valued part of our team allowing us succeed without issue related downtime
Overall Satisfaction with LogMeIn Rescue
With a 100% remote team, someone cannot just stop by their office and show them how to fix an issue. Rescue has made it so that it is almost as good as having someone present to show how to best solve a problem. We no longer have to go through a check list of possible issues - "Is the computer plugged in..." We have tried a number of solutions that sounded good but just ended up costing time and money; if the team member cannot solve the problem we end up sending them a new machine which causes downtime and a great deal of expense for overnighting a new machine and getting the team member up and running on their new machine.
Pros
- Computer issue triage
- Security by working seamlessly with our VPN
- Ease of use for even the least computer savvy team member
Cons
- Major maker software integration
- fully remote access
- the ability for a third party to fully review interactions
- substantial decrease in cost per employee for computer work stations
- Very infrequently need to overnight and replace CPUs
- Because of Rescue we have been able to upgrade all team members to allow everyone to utilize Rescue
We know without a doubt our network is as secure as we could hope. The extra step of keeping our team members from making poor security choices allows us to not have to monitor our employees as closely as before we used Rescue.
It is a relief to not have to treat our employees like children. We know they will make intelligent choices while on our network and if they do make a poor choice we know our network will not be compromised
2 of the 3 were good, maybe as good as Rescue. One was horrible and we were worse off than before we used it. Our bottomline is all things being equal, we would prefer to work with one company's products and we have had no issues with any of Logmein.

LogMeIn Rescue Feature Ratings
Using LogMeIn Rescue
5 - LogMeIn Rescue is used with every person in the organization. Not matter how well protected against employee FUBAR computer situations, they happen at every level of the organization. Many problems cannot be solved by walking the user through the process when a take over of their computer would be faster and a better solution
1 - It is used by our IT person to solve most issues our users experience. More often than not, it is much easier to use than visiting the user when possible to solve the problem. There really is no special skills required to use the software for the IT person or the person who's computer is being serviced.
Evaluating LogMeIn Rescue and Competitors
- Integration with Other Systems
- Ease of Use
It needed to be easy to use for both our staff that has varied computer experience and comfort with processes outside of their specific jobs and for our IT person who needs to use the software quickly with a minimum of explanation to the employee computer user. We just need the computer issue solved.
I would not change the process because we utilize a number of LogMeIn products and have never had an issue with them. It is easier for us to work with a minimum of software vendors so we are assured of all of our software working together. We also are able to develop relationships with our software vendors for better assistance with any issues we may have.
LogMeIn Rescue Support
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
Quick Resolution Good followup Knowledgeable team Problems get solved No escalation required Immediate help available Support understands my problem Support cares about my success Quick Initial Response | None |
We do not have premium support for LogMeIn Rescue because it works every time, all the time. The support we have received initially when first intergrating the software was so exemplary that if we did ever need additional support we would happily invest in premium because LogMeIn consistently goes above and beyond and it would be a wise investment for us.
We had never used a product like Rescue so there were a lot of questions, perhaps some rather foolish, when we first started with the product. Every member of our team was treated with respect while the issue was solved and educated on how they can fix most issues themselves to avoid downtime.

Yes, but I don't use it
Industry-Specific Usage
There are no use cases that are industry specific for us as our industry is so varied. However, we face the same issues that every firm with a portion of their workforce that works remotely, software and hardware goes rogue with and without operator error so Rescue is a lifesaver having lived through a time where an IT person would have to fly out to fix a system.
LohgMeIn Rescue has had a huge impact on how much time and effort needs to be expended for computer issues. We also are able to utilize the Rescue as a co-working solution where a leader can take control of a team members computer and work with the team member on a project. This allows a visual explanation instead of trying to explain with words the goal.
- Software / Hardware issues
- Co-working with team members
- roll out of new software or programs
- Allowing leaders to work on projects with reports has been huge!
It is a lot more than just an IT program for fixing hardware and software issues. Co-working has allowed the software to pay for itself many times over. It is an excellent investment for any organization that has remote workers or even just workers located on a large campus where it would be an investment in time to work in the same space.
