Mailmeteor vs. Mautic (open source)

I had problems sending and communicating to one hundred and fifty (150) clients. I was supposed to send them information about the ongoing migration and training for new suppliers for our new program. Since the emails and client information is a lot, I had to seek for help. That's where Mailmeteor came in, I was advised by a colleague and I have been using it ever since.

Mautic is not Salesforce or Dynamics of course; it is hard to install, still buggy and you have to know what you're doing if you want to use it. But that is your admission fee to an always free system that does essentially all the same things as the pricey alternatives, does it effectively and gives you total control. Mautic was acquired by Acquia, the company behind Drupal, and has been making substantial upgrades since that seem to be accelerating. The system has an active user community, active development and will only get better, making it an excellent choice to grow with and build your own systems around and never be dependent on third parties

• The website is too simple.
• You need to accurately arrange email placement, won't accept separation as simple as "coma".
• Though it may provide real time assessment on the status of the communication sent, most of the time especially when encountering errors, it doesn't provide exact info on what the errors were.

• Setting up the email templates has required hiring a professional. The templates that are provided are not fully responsive.
• More responsive form templates are needed.

As mentioned, on a daily basis, communication serves a vital role though my job. That's why having a partner that could provide assistance with the task that makes most of my overall workload, keeps my mind at ease and will always provide a breeze in progress. Infusionsoft, at the time I tested it, had a crazy editor--very unintuitive and not very clean. Mautic (open source) makes it much easier to build up campaigns. Besides that, it didn't provide what we needed to justify the lack of possibility to self-host it and the requirement to pay for it.
