Likelihood to Recommend Microsoft Project Online is suited to Turnkey Projects where more Collaboration is required in Project Progress monitoring, risk assessment and conveying, issue recording and tracking. It is less appropriate when ERP Suites other than MS Dynamics are used, i.e when Enterprises need to integrate Finance / Accounting with It and having straight project management workflow
Read full review Like most platforms, its only as good as how well and how often you use it. It definitely is a good platform for pushing out content to your employee base or team. You need to have a decent size list of people to realize its true capability/value/reach. It requires someone to be regularly loading in content for shares and pushing them out to the individuals. But either from an email or when logged into the platform, a share can be done with just a few clicks

Read full review Usability Microsoft Project was for many years the reference tool when you were talking about project management software, even if it has some gaps. However, in the last several years, other tools emerged and covered those gaps and are getting more and more users. Microsoft needs to keep up with the trends as they did with adding Project Server. However, that needs a significant rework.
Read full review The user interface is fairly intuitive. It's not hard to find your content, set up your shares, or view your results/analytics. As mentioned, the content available for sharing within Clearview isn't great, but I don't place a ton of value on that, as this is likely intended for more sharing of original, unique content. I do think there still can be some improvements made to setting up shares across multiple platforms at the same time, but overall, it does the job fine

Read full review I couldn't ask for better support. Everytime I have a question or concern, I talk to a real live person, and it is always the same project manager or the same supporting analyst if he is out of the office. They really feel like a part of the team since we connect and communicate regularly. I honestly don't think you can find this type of support anywhere today in such an automated world.

Read full review Alternatives Considered While many of the above tools are extremely well-versed, Microsoft Project's largest advantage comes from it being related to the largest business productivity company in the world. Project does have its sharing limitations - but regardless, offers one of the most robust tools in the market today. Microsoft Project is built with large-scale projects in mind but is more than up to the task for smaller projects as well. However, there are options available (especially cloud-based options) that may be more fitting for higher-level projects that do not require going into the weeds.
Read full review With brightfin, it is tough to remember where to go for everything, it is not easy to search for things that you need urgently because you will have to keep some time in hand to get to the relevant details. I often find myself looking around and wasting time in selecting the wrong areas and thus navigating the site can be confusing for a new user. Searching through is certainly not simple and much more complicated as compared to Clearview where you simply glide through for the needed information.
Read full review Return on Investment Project saved me, as the project manager, countless hours of digging through tickets and schedules to plan everything out. It also saved me time in adjusting the project triangle as needed, since it does so much automatically. It is costly, and since it requires extensive training to master, it's not just the high licensing cost that you need to take into account. The reporting features - even just printing out Gantt charts - makes it far easier to communicate with stakeholders. That means less time for PMs doing all of this manually, and it means less follow-up questions and delays moving forward. Read full review Positive. The cost up front is usually 0.5% - 3% MAX and savings are usually upwards of 15% - 30% so there is a massive ROI. The dedicated staff that supports the tool in the background is extremely helpful to address concerns and even requests for custom reports, completely free which is nice. Read full review ScreenShots
