Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Project

Ours is a project driven organization. Microsoft projects is an integral part of our lives. All project plans, work breakdown structures are done in Microsoft Projects. Each Associate in the company is expected to know Microsoft Projects. We use most of the productivity tools from Microsoft, and Microsoft projects integrates well with other tools like Skype. The Microsoft Projects look and feel is similar to Microsoft Excel, so it makes people comfortable from the get-go.
  • It is part of Office365 subscription. The look and feel is similar to other tools like excel. Helps in creating project plans, Gantt charts, work break down structures etc.
  • Helps in resource allocation and tracking the projects. There is an option to use it to capture timesheets too.
  • Helps project managers in producing weekly status reports and integrates well with other collaboration tools like Skype, sharepoint etc.
  • The user experience can be improved.
  • More tutorials can be provided online. It takes time to master this tool. It can be made much simpler and easy to learn on the fly.
  • The tool can be made more catered towards to agile, scrum project management methodologies.
  • It is easy to find people with Microsoft projects expertise. Hence it saves money on training.
  • Our customers are well versed with Microsoft projects, hence it makes them comfortable and helps in building relationships.
  • It integrates well with other office productivity tools, hence less time and money spent on integrations.
We chose Microsoft Projects as we have an ongoing relationship with Microsoft and we use their other tools. Most people in our office are familiar with Microsoft Projects and our customers are use Microsoft Projects too. It integrates well with other tools we use in our office. We hire consultants and contractors to fill gaps in our projects and it is easy to find people with Microsoft Projects skills.
Microsoft in recent years has transformed itself and gives a positive feeling when one interacts with the company. The company is focusing on its customers and willing to go extra mile to make customers happy.The company continues to invest in its products and bringing new features from time to time. Overall it is a positive feeling to be associated with such an iconic company.
