Considered Both Products
ReputationStacker
Chose ReputationStacker
Swell was too expensive. ReputationStacker does the same things (and more), costs less, and as far as I can tell from the Swell demo we did, a lot easier to use.
Chose ReputationStacker
ReputationStacker is all about on reviews and customer experience. It's not trying to be more than that and add a bunch of other features that we either wouldn't use or are already part of the other tools that we use.
Chose ReputationStacker
We did our research before choosing ReputationStacker. Comparing it to other reputation management software it quickly became obvious that ReputationStacker is the best mix of review generation features, review responses, reporting, affordability, etc, especially for …
Chose ReputationStacker
Podium is great if you use all of its features. But it takes a long time to learn and if you don't use ALL of its features then it's very expensive for what it is. We really just wanted a dedicated focused reputation/review management system, so when our Podium contract ended …
Chose ReputationStacker
We did demos with all of them. BirdEye and Podium seem to handle reviews well, but they also have a lot of other features we'd never use. We chose ReputationStacker because of its dedicated focus on reviews (getting them, monitoring them, responding to them). That's all we …
Trustpilot
Chose Trustpilot
Google Business is free, and you covers the standard features you get from Trustpilot - arguably with more reach. For us, it was a solid backup after having our relationship sullied by our TP account manager.
Chose Trustpilot
We also evaluated Bazaarvoice when considering adding customer reviews. Completing a tax return takes time and energy from our customers. We did not want them to fill out a lengthy questionnaire-type review. We wanted to make the review process as simple as possible. …
Chose Trustpilot
Selected Trustpilot because of superior integration with the website and Google SERPS. Again, my only complaint would be Trustpilot was relatively more expensive than the other technologies.

It's amazing for getting new Google reviews, responding to reviews, and tracking reviews. It also makes it easy for us to follow up with our clients, helping us manage expectations and resolve issues. It's not a full customer support system (and it doesn't try to be).

Increases consumer confidence as they can see the reviews on the product, the service provided, and the overall company review. This then leads to more orders. Helps when there is a new product with no reviews yet, as customers can see that the company has an overall score of 4.6 and are confident in buying

Pros
  • Online reputation management for multiple locations of our business
  • Review generation for all of our clinics (with a focus on Google reviews)
  • Responding to reviews at scale
  • Review and reputation reporting

  • Their website UI allows for fluid visualizations and analysis of the review data.
  • Their website widget integrates well with the website allowing us to display reviews dynamically.
  • They have pretty advanced integrations with Google SERPs where you can actually have your TP review show up instead of your Google review, which can have benefits.

Cons
  • Adding additional locations of our business wasn't obvious at first, but when I figured out how to do it it was easy after that.

  • It would be good to have more control over invalid reviews.
  • It would be good if buyers were required to contact the company to express their concerns before doing it on the reviews sites because many times a negative impression is caused by a misunderstanding and other potential buyers are not helped by being exposed to this misinformation.
  • Ideally, the data could be integrated into our website easier.

Usability
It takes a few minutes to set up and then it is automatic. It literally takes care of everything you need it to do on its own. You can also work with it a little more if you want to assign reviews to other users to follow up with patients (for example), but overall it is extremely easy to use.

Simple user interface - easy to understand with high level overviews, but also getting into the detail with questions for those who want it. The only issue I have is the connection with LinkedIn - sometimes it fails and makes you re-enter details again which can be a bit frustrating!

Support Rating
I had a question about how to add new locations and the support team got back to me immediately and showed me how to do it.

I've rarely had issues and needed support. During the implementation phase we relied on their support heavily and they were very knowledgeable, responsive and helpful. Any questions I've had have been answered promptly by my account manager. They also have a great knowledgebase for self-service support.

Podium is great if you use all of its features. But it takes a long time to learn and if you don't use ALL of its features then it's very expensive for what it is. We really just wanted a dedicated focused reputation/review management system, so when our Podium contract ended we switched over to ReputationStacker and it's perfect for what we need.

Return on Investment
  • We have an average of over 30% more clicks on our Google Business Profiles since we started using ReputationStacker (because we now show a lot higher in Google's local search pack).

  • We've seen an increase in CTR and CVR while lowering our CPAs using our reviews in our display and social media ads.
  • Integrating the star rating with our Google Ads was automatic and we saw a lift in CTR when the stars were added.
  • We saw an uptick in traffic in from our Trustpilot review page to our website.

It monitors reviews from over 100 review sites, from Google to industry-specific review sites (like Avvo for lawyers and Healthgrades for doctors).

The user can respond to reviews directly from the ReputationStacker dashboard, and assign reviews to teammates for follow-up, share reviews as posts on social media pages, and share reviews on a company's website via the Review Feed widget.Screenshot of ReputationStacker's reports. These help to turn the qualitative feedback from online reviews and customer feedback into quantified data.

ReputationStacker works for single-location SMBs, but for multi-location online reputation management, the system is not only designed for automatic review generation, but also to run apples-to-apples comparisons of a business's locations to discover what customers really care about, including what's being done right, to where improvements can be made.Screenshot of ReputationStacker’s automated review generation, which requires no manual follow-up. Users can choose their ideal moment to request a review. Review request templates in ReputationStacker are also customizable to (for example) sound more casual or more formal. ReputationStacker's review request forms are on-brand and customizable so you can collect more customer feedback on the frontend, or streamline things and send customers directly to the review sites that are most important (Google, of course, but also niche and industry specific review sites).Screenshot of an example of ReputationStacker's AI review responses. Their prompting allows users to dial-in the brand voice so responses sound like they're coming from a person, and not an automated responder. The system can also be trained for improvement, and thresholds can be set so responses are only sent under certain conditions (e.g. five-star reviews only).Screenshot of ReputationStacker's review widgets can showcase reviews on a company website. The widget can be customized with a few clicks. Copy the embed code and paste it on a website wherever the review should appear. Multiple review widgets can be added.
