VictorOps is an excellent option for platform alerting and is very cost-effective. For teams of any size, it can be the correct tool. VictorOps success is mainly dependent on the amount of logging and monitoring setup within your platform. If you have little or poor logging, then they may not be anything for VictorOps to act upon.
- The UI is a little clunky.
- It's a little tricky to override or shift schedules (i.e., for a particular day in a one-week rotation).

I am going to give this an 8 because I actually haven't had to reach out to customer support. I am using an 8 because the app itself is clear on how to use it so they have done a fine job on allowing me to find answers without having to reach out to support.
Both VictorOps and PagerDuty do a great job at hands-off alerting people of all their systems neeeds. If used properly it allows everyone, devs, ops, and managers to see into the status of the systems and see what systems and processes need to be improved based upon the types and frequencies of alerts one is getting.
