Adverity - A Scalable Data Solution

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Adverity to extract, transform, and load digital marketing data from various platforms (Google Ads, GA4, Facebook Ads, etc.) to an external data warehouse and an Adverity-owned data lake. We also use Adverity's in-built data visualization and exploration to create dashboards and reports for our clients. Adverity has dozens of pre-built API connections to various platforms, which makes managing extraction much simpler than using an in-house tool.

Pros

  • Data Extraction
  • Authorization Management
  • Workspace Organization
  • Data Governance

Cons

  • Rigid data visualization tools
  • Transformations are locked in to Adverity-specific ways of enriching data
  • No integrations with standard tool sets like dbt or SQL

Return on Investment

  • Scale - the biggest advantage has been the ability to extract, transform, and load data for 150+ clients with a three-person team without a software or data engineering team to support. Adverity would easily allow us to scale up to double or triple the client load if needed.
  • Templates - Another advantage related to scale, Adverity allows us to run a templated approach to extraction, transformation, and also data visualization and reporting so that onboarding is very fast. Typical clients with up to 15 data sources can be onboarded in as little as a couple of hours.

Adverity Review

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Adverity to fetch data in one place and load into our data warehouse. We use a variety of digital media platforms to pull in data being able to track that all in one place by platform and client. We don't have to worry about pulling from multiple different places and can instead rely on Adverity to fetch data.

Pros

  • Customer Service
  • Clarity and detailed
  • consistent communication

Cons

  • Quicker platform creation
  • faster loading
  • none

Return on Investment

  • They have allowed us to use them to fetch data so we don't have to worry about it
  • We would have to hire another person to consistently maintain our data.

Adverity: Low cost, high impact solution for scaled data automation

Pros

  • User-friendly report setup and ingestion
  • Easy integration with multiple data endpoints, making it easy for users to drive value
  • Incredible customer support, allowing users (regardless of technical background) to act like power-users

Cons

  • Adverity is running into some issues being able to custom-develop API connectors at scale/speed. This is mostly because of their rapid growth and incredible core product. If you need custom development, be prepared to use one of the many easy-to-use workarounds Adverity offers for endpoints they don't have a direct integration with. Don't worry - you'll get your data either way.

Most Important Features

  • Robust set of connectors
  • Great Customer Service

Return on Investment

  • Adverity has saved hundreds of man hours per month in reporting and data aggregation. I can think of no solution we've onboarded that has saved so much human capital expense for so little effort in setup and maintenance.

Dashboards fit for all media agencies!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

In one of my previous roles (digital marketing agency), we utilised Advertity for data visualisation on a number of our different clients. As we were an agency that had a vast amount of services, and provided a lot of these for our clients it meant that we needed to be experts on our data set and what it was doing. We used Advertity to combine all of our insights together, particularly to be utilsed by our paid media team, to provide opportunities for enhancements. I was a user that often went into the dashboard and reviewed the data.

Pros

  • Customizable dashboards, that you could change and make unique to your specific need / business.
  • Combining a range of data sets into one view.
  • Easily sharable insights, that you can share internally or also with clients.

Cons

  • I think it would have been more user friendly if there was more labelling capabilities, so that when you are sharing the dashboard they would explain what the data is - rather than depending on someone knowing how to use the dashboards or being there to explain it.
  • Our teams found that some of the scheduling functionality could be a little big buggy, so this was something that needed extra care and attention, so therefore may be an area that needs to be improved (unless it was just our account and usage).

Most Important Features

  • Combining different data sets, into one overall view
  • Creating multiple dashboards, that allow cross collaboration between various teams

Return on Investment

  • This tool has allowed us to be able to see areas for opportunities, when all of the data has been combined
  • We were also able to better prioritise actions and where to focus our attention, when we had one view where all of the data was together. This allowed us to deliver better results for our clients, and also have a clearer roadmap of activity
