Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It helps ensure policy compliance with the ever-changing rules and regulations. We have to ensure that the policies we offer to clients meet the local laws, down to the city and county regs. Being able to see a side-by-side comparison of the differences between the various cities/states really helps us customize the products that we offer clients. Brightmine keeps us in the loop with a calendar of all regulatory changes by city, state, and jurisdiction since it can vary from state to state or across a singular state. Reminders of deadlines are easily synced with your outlook so you can always see what's pending and upcoming.

Brightmine is used for Salary benchmarking annually and for specific jobs. This enables us to keep our pay grades aligned with market rates and thereby to pay fair rates to our employees.

Pros

  • Salary benchmarking

Cons

  • Create better tools for matching organisational roles with the Brightmine benchmark roles. This is a difficult exercise at the moment.

Return on Investment

  • Difficult to quantify, but having a single reliable source of salary data vastly simplifies annual salary grade reviews.

Brightmine is a one stop shop for all HR related information and support. I am an experienced HR Manager however it is excellent for keeping me up to date with legislative changes, how to guides, templates and case law. I use it on a nearly daily basis to check information, read and research different topics, check wording in my letters or documents, look at draft policies.

  • Draft Policies and Procedures
  • How to guides and training documents
  • Updates on employment law changes

Cons

  • The drip feed of the Employment Rights Bill could have been better presented so it was not so fragmented and hard to keep up with
  • Policies that are correct now, and draft versions ready for the legislation changes ready for us to look at before the implementation date
  • Training slides for our managers on the Employment Rights Bill and changes

  • Reduced time in drafting documents and researching issues
  • Solid and reliable information that I trust and do not need to check is correct
