Cognism’s proprietary data collection system Orion is responsible for sourcing data from across the internet - everything from news reports, press releases, earnings reports, public registries and validated third-party vendors. Orion stitches between 60-200 pieces of data together per company before filtering it through a series of verification layers.

Cognism verifies the data using sophisticated machine learning models and systematic testing frameworks to ensure quality. This includes mobile number verification, B2B email verification, and cross-referencing against highest confidence metadata. Cognism also deploys a strict governance framework and cross-checks data against 13 Do Not Call lists internationally, as well as GDPR and CCPA compliance checks.

While the company's core offering is their sales intelligence service, Cognism’s Data-as-a-Service option provides real-time access to verified B2B data ready to sync with a CRM, CDP, or data warehouse. The customer can fetch data instantly via API or schedule a batch delivery.
