We use Cognism as a Sales Intelligence platform. It helps us in identifying verified email addresses and mobile numbers of our prospects. Other than that, I use Cognism for leads list building and enrich a current set of leads as well. The quality of data is good, and we get less bounce emails
Pros
Quality of prospects
Leads list building
Enriching current set of leads
Cons
The mobile number quality needs to improve as the connect rate is lower
It should also add sub industries to contract the list and find ICP
The AI assistant is not ideal
Likelihood to Recommend
Its a good tool, the quality of data is good specially for emails. So its going to be a good addition in sales tool arsenal for sales teams. However, there are some areas that can be improved significantly like AI Assistant, Quality of mobile numbers. It is less appropriate if teams are looking to execute candeces as well
We use Cognism for market research and lead generation, as well as backlink outreach for SEO. We use it to identify leads for both use cases, collect contact information like emails, phone numbers and LinkedIn profiles, compile lists, and write and schedule outreach emails and set follow ups, and A/B test subject lines and sequences.
Pros
Automating emails and followups
Helping personalize email copy
Building lists and exporting contacts to CRM
Cons
The phone numbers don't always work
Sometimes data export can be a little tricky, requires a lot of clicks
UI can be a bit complicated sometimes

Cognism is great for getting contact information for leads and automating cold outreach. You can use it to help SDRs and marketers save time on market research, prospecting and following up on cold outreach. Cognism is not suitable as email marketing software for marketing campaigns for nurture sequences/customer marketing/customer comms etc.
Both our Business development and sales teams are using Cognism every day. We have a list of companies we need to sell to, so we need to identify and then get in contact with key people of those companies. Cognism helps us to find the right people at each organisation, and then helps us to get into contact with them by providing their direct contact information, such as direct mobile and email.
Pros
Identifying key decision makers.
Providing direct contact information (mobiles, emails etc.)
Ease of use.
Diamond Verify function (Cognism will look for the mobile number if not available).
On-site training for our teams.
Cons
Because of all the possibilities and features, there's a slight learning curve.
The dashboard is quite detailed, need to get used to navigating.
Likelihood to Recommend
Cognism works great for startups, scale-ups and large enterprises. It helps us close deals faster because we can very easily find the right people who can move our deal forward fast, and reach them directly instead of having to go through an HQ number/gatekeeper. It also saves us hours and hours on research we'd otherwise have to do manually.
We use Cognism primarily as a data enrichment tool for our sales team and a data list building tool for running sales and marketing campaigns mainly for cold email outreach. For running campaigns we need a good quality data tool that provides accurate data for EU and North America. Its also provides phone numbers and if there isn't one available you can click a button and Cognism will go out and find you one.
Pros
Data enrichment
Email List building
EU data
North American data
Integration to CRM
Integration to LinkedIn sales navigator
Verified emails to avoid a high bounce rate
Exporting Data for campaigns
Cons
Sometimes US / North America data is not accurate as EU data
Could have more phone numbers
Sometimes even verified emails can bounce, would be good to have a checker in the platform
Likelihood to Recommend
If you need a lot of data from all global regions then Cognism is the way to go if you are looking for a good price point and you are needing to run multiple cold email campaigns that it meets that requirement, as it provides great enriched data that has a high delivery rate and low bounce rate. Great tool overall.
Our sales development team needs a strong data enrichment tool. Thus, we use Cognism to look for phone numbers and emails of our prospective customers. We also get insights on who amongst our prospects are in DNC and whether the phone number is direct, mobile, or HQ. Also love that I could easily import them into SFDC.
Pros
They give us a headsup if the phone number is direct, mobile, or HQ
They advise us if the email is verified - that reduces our bounce rate.
They also advise us if our prospect's number is in the DNC list
Cons
Data are not 100% accurate, which is normal for every data enrichment tool. But at least we could flag it to them so they could improve it.
Sometimes, I'm having problems exporting info into SFDC.
Wish I could also export the contacts directly to Outreach.
Likelihood to Recommend
In terms of giving "upfront" info about the data, Cognism is well suited. I've used Lusha and LeadIQ in the past, and they don't give insights on DNC as Cognism does. They also don't give a headsup on whether the phone number is direct, mobile, or office and the only way to find that out is through calling those phone numbers directly.
