Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I typically use Consensus to equip our champion with the collateral they need in order to effectively sell the solution I sell internally to stakeholders. The content in Consensus is choose-your-own-adventure style, so decision makers don't have to spend a ton of time reviewing the nuances of my product, but they can still feel that they were informed enough to feel comfortable signing off on a purchase.

Pros

  • Succinct Demos
  • Pre-populated user logins
  • Easy to manage demo library
  • Great links in the forms of buttons and screenshots (even animated screenshots)
  • Easy for customer to understand, and incredibly low friction

Cons

  • It would be nice to string together multiple products in the same ecosystem (think Apple Music + iMessage)
  • The UI can feel a little empty. It's absolutely simple, but sometimes it feels unfinished rather than just elegant.

Return on Investment

  • The more engagement my Consensus Demoboard gets, the easier and faster I can close deals.
  • When a customer engages with and shares a Demoboard it is significantly easier to get stakeholder buy in.

Consensus is very helpful

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Consensus to send pre-recorded demos to customers and prospects. This helps me with a few things. It saves me time because I am not spending time on demos that are not qualified. It also saves my solution consultants time for the same reason. When customers or prospects watch the demo, it also gives me an understanding of what is most important to that person or group, how long they watch it, if they watch it multiple times, and if they share it with other people. It ultimately helps me be more efficient at my job.

Pros

  • Qualifies my deal
  • Finds new contacts at organizations
  • Makes me more efficient at my job

Cons

  • The analytical dashboard can be little confusing because I can see details for my whole company
  • Better way to record personalized videos in the beginning. They don't have any background filtering ability.
  • Better way to record personalized videos in the beginning. They don't have any background filtering ability.

Return on Investment

  • Helps me meet my goals, faster
  • Saves me time
  • Reduces time spent in non-revenue generating activities

Usability

Consensus is a true partner in our customer-centric GTM strategy.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Consensus supports our customer experience with sharable asynchronous video demonstration and product tours.

Pros

  • Ease of use for the customer.
  • Simple, branded experiences
  • Engagement tracking/measures

Cons

  • Publish button is hard to find, leads to rework
  • Users struggle with ScreenPal for video capture and editing, they prefer Loom, which doesn't upload as nicely as other content.
  • I'm excited to see more agentic solutions like Claude integration to allow users to build tailored content or demoboards based on conversational intelligence. Gong transcript + Claude skill = Consensus demo ready on demand.

Return on Investment

  • We've seen a direct correlation between high Consensus engagement and closed won deals. It's a key indicator deal viability for us now. Our 3 biggest deals this year we also our most engaged Consensus viewers.
  • Consensus has also helped us support our field on roadmap enablement. Our PMMs can create clickable tours of early access solutions to help educate the field ahead of release.
  • Consensus has played a big role in driving C-level engagement for one of our new products.

Usability

Effortless Outreach with Powerful Video Demos

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Consensus for my day-to-day outreach in my B2B sales role and find it extremely useful for sending potential prospects informational videos on our products. This gives them more insight into what we're offering before a demo. I like how it frees up my time on outreach; instead of chasing down prospects with follow-up calls, I can send a quick email with a Consensus video about the products or features we've previously discussed. It's great to be able to send catered demos and receive notifications whenever someone views or shares the email or video. This feature is incredibly powerful and helpful in getting the sale across the finish line. Also, setting it up was very simple.

Pros

  • Analytics
  • Calendar Sync
  • Content Library

Return on Investment

  • Increases my day to day productivity with prospecting
  • Allows my to bridge the knowledge gap with video demos

Usability

Every SaaS Sales team needs to use Consensus.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use consensus to send out pre-recorded demos to the clients before we do live demos. The goal is to have the customer see our product before the live demo. We love getting statistical feedback on which areas they have watched before we meet them, and then tailoring the live demo based on this feedback. The customer can also choose what areas they want to watch. So this is great to see what's important and what's not to them.

Pros

  • Video viewed statistics and data.
  • Outlook integration makes it very convenient.
  • Easy for customers to share with others.
  • Great dashboard.

Cons

  • Honestly I cant think of any as I love consensus.

Return on Investment

  • We are better prepared for the live demo thanks to the helpful analytics from consensus.
  • The views on my consensus are usually off the charts if I explain what I am about to send them during discovery. Generally, about 80-90% view rate.
  • With the Outlook plugin I save so much time.
