Jumpstart Technical SEO Efforts with Crownpeak Digital Accessibility and Quality

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

When we wanted to accelerate technical SEO to improve our page rankings, we needed a place to start. Crownpeak Digital Accessibility and Quality's set of checkpoints is that starting place. From there, it started a conversation of what was relevant and what wasn't, then we could configure the checkpoints to align to our business. Beyond that starting place, we grew into automated testing after gathering enough data to know where our blind spots were.

Pros

  • Preconfigured checkpoints to gather a baseline.
  • Reporting at regular intervals to identify pain points.
  • Mapping to WCAGG standard to understand how to resolve errors.
  • Ability to add customized checkpoints to align with messaging changes
  • Aggregating images in a visual repository to scan for relevancy.

Cons

  • Extended reporting capabilities over longer amounts of time.
  • First indexed dates to determine age of error as a basis for prioritization.
  • Integration with ticket management system.

Likelihood to Recommend

For systems with less structure, Crownpeak Digital Accessibility and Quality buys peace-of-mind that technical SEO and accessibility are solid. For more templated systems, this solution may not be necessary.

Excellent customer service, good features, flexibility and accessibility.

Likelihood to Recommend

When building a new page that is urgently required on the site, PageChecker allows us to very quickly check that the page is at the standard expected. It also flags if that's not the case. Running Page Checker takes only a matter of seconds which is fantastic. I am unable to think of scenarios where it's not appropriate.

A highly effective tool to manage small or large web estates, giving real insight into where a site could be improved for the user.

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Crownpeak DQM is used in many ways - to pro-actively manage our web estate, to identify issues, and to check daily developments before they go live. We have also recently implemented the Crownpeak Autofix tool to enhance our accessibility for all of our web users.

Pros

  • Excellent, quick support
  • Easy to implement
  • Easy to configure to suit business needs.

Cons

  • Look at the pricing model for Autofix for businesses who have multiple domains.
  • Keep refreshing the DQM interface to stay ahead of the game.

Likelihood to Recommend

Crownpeak is very user-friendly, meaning a digital or marketing team with all levels of experience can pick it up easily and find it useful in their day-to-day activities. It can be used to review a site that has been inherited by a team, just as much as it can be used to pro-actively manage one on a daily basis. Restricted checkpoints also come in useful for identifying where content sits across a web estate, eg if a term is no longer compliant or an individual leaves a company and references need removing.

Cookie consent for professional uses

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

UCP from Crownpeak helped us to solve cookies policy issues across the whole group. We own a few companies and we needed to have a one-fits-all solution for a reasonable price and this was delivered with the UCP.

Pros

  • It allows to translate each label to a given language
  • It's fast to deploy
  • Support is really good

Cons

  • It's difficult to style some elements of the consent banner

Likelihood to Recommend

If you are looking for a consent platform that can be deployed across many domains and is managed from one place this is the product for you. On the other hand, if you have just one page to put the cookie consent banner on, there are definitely cheaper solutions out there.

A great intuitive tool that helps me in solving issues

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Dqm consists out of a couple of different aspects, first of all you have the dashboard, this is used by the gate keepers of quality, Digital Services and the content owners of several different markets and businesses. Using this dashboards we keep track of large scale issues, template or component issues but alo hunt down the priority issues. The other tool is the cms plugin, this is used by all authors to make sure no isseus go live, and because some issues cannot be indicated by that plugin we also onboarded the Dqm live page checker. This tool can be used on the live page to check all checkpoints that are in the dashboard. We've been using the dashboards for more than a year and using the benchmarks we see great improvement on the website and apart from that over 30 checkpoints were added to make sure all aspects on quality were included. Some minor aspects (which the crownpeak team is developing) is reporting both on plugin usage as well as a daily management setup in the dashboard and the new checkpoints do not give any weight to the benchmarking scores, though they should.

Pros

  • The tickets, every single day I'm amazed by the ticketing tool and people that work on them, unfortunately I'm no longer being asked to grade tickets because every single one of them would be 10/10
  • The tooling itself is very intuitive, I myself am addicted to the scorings, its an amazing motivator!
  • The possibility to together with the Dqm team work on new checkpoint is so much fun!

Cons

  • The providing of info on improvements can be improved, there's a lot of information on the forum but a biweekly newsletter for tool owners like myself would be nice
  • Additional checkpoints could be suggested, its very onesided when it comes to new checkpoint creation
  • New checkpoints should be able to give weight on the benchmarking scores, insights on how the weight in the bemchmarking scores would be nice
  • I'm worried about the new ui and how it will affect the daily operations

Likelihood to Recommend

If you have a fully customized cms and have people working on the site with html and css knowledge this is the best tool ever, all specifics can be checked. Using ab tests and optimization services we identify best practices of the website and everywhere the best practices aren't implemented we find using the custom checkpoints. Aspects that cannot be automated via a quick IT solution is turned into a checkpoint and that's great!

Crownpeak DQM: quality assurance across enterprise wide digital ecosystems

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We consult on the resell and implement Crownpeak DXP across a range of clients. Typically the DXP is used globally by our client organisations across distributed marketing teams in a number of markets, to setup and manage digital marketing and digital business ecosystems. Specific business problems solved using the DXP are: control and consistency of web content and digital customer experience across markets; setup and management of B2C and B2B2C business models (including e-commerce, PIM, CRM); control and consistency of brand experience (including DAM).

Pros

  • Ensures quality and consistency of content implementation across distributed teams and markets.
  • Quick and easy content updates across global digital ecosystems.
  • Custom checkpoints to identify, highlight and manage business updates across multiple websites (e.g. product detail, terminology, customer messaging, brand updates)

Cons

  • Custom branded dashboard reports would be an excellent new feature

Likelihood to Recommend

DQM deals with quality assurance across most areas of website content and customer experience; including content quality, brand updates, product detail and SEO effectiveness (including broken links, H-tags etc.).

It does overlap with some of the other custom tools we already use in areas such as SEO quality and effectiveness. The advantage it gives however, is bringing all the factors listed above into a single tool and dashboard, making the process of highlighting, reporting and addressing all the website factors that affect customer experience and business effectiveness into a single space.

DQM is also useful for isolating single business and Customer Experience (CX) issues for our clients using the 'custom checkpoint' tools. For example, our most recent custom usage has been in the management of diversity and inclusion language and terminology across a global web estate, to ensure consistency of language and approach across an ecosystem of websites managed by distributed teams.

Happy with Crownpeak DQM

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our organization and several of our clients use Crownpeak DQM to help ensure accessibility compliance, improve SEO, and ensure branding standards.

Pros

  • Automated WCAG Testing
  • Automated SEO issue finding
  • Continued assurance after content and template updates.

Cons

  • Make it easier to accept misspellings as correct

Likelihood to Recommend

Crownpeak DQM is a great product to help with automated scans both on a "live" website as well as during the development process. It does not replace manual scans - but rather should be complimentary. It also helps provide a great "paper trail" of work done for compliance auditing purposes.
