We use majority of JumpCloud functions for our core IT and security processes. It's our directory service and we manage access through SSO and LDAP to core systems. We also use it for onboarding and offboarding and we connected it with our HRIS. We use JumpCloud for device management both for Windows and Macs.
• Directory service
• Onboarding and offboarding of users
• SSO
• User-facing dashboard
• Policy management for devices
JumpCloud is a great system providing value for its price. It particularly suits well If you are a young company that starts establishing its centralized user management and access management. It may be not the best tool for management of Mac devices but it is a good holistic solution that includes user management, access management and cross-platform device management.

Presently it is being used as IAM, MFA, SSO tool and we would like to see it more in other areas like detailed policy management on endpoint, help us in patch management on endpoints, detailed access control tool, manage any challenge related to user authentications
• user management
• device management
• single sign on
• multi factor authentication
• mac device management
• remote control of the device
• security patch deployment
• OS policies
• zero trust features
• integrations with 3rd party products
• device isolation
It still requires maturity in many areas that I listed out in earlier part of the questionnaie, for example, it does windows or mac device management, but still can't be replaced AD or other Mac management tools (like Jamf).

The product unifies our IT stack and employee IAM / SSO experience. Its a phenomenal platform that overlaps different vertical technologies and all-in-all reduces onboarding / offboarding time and burden, enhances productivity for both users and administrators, and helps drive profitability by reducing cost.
• Unified Directory
• Identity Access Management
• Password Management
• User Lifecycle Automation
• Device Lifecycle Automation
• Mobile Device Management
• Android Support
• Integrations with other systems
• Managing offboarded users ("Suspended" users are licensed / billed)
• Different license types for guests / frontline workers / contractors
• Managing Guest IAM
Its an absolutely phenomenal platform that I recommend for any company of 5 to 5000

We use JumpCloud as Identity Prover, MDM, and User Control system.
We leverage its cloud integrations for LDAP, RADIUS, and Microsoft Azure/365 for authentication and Single Sign On. As a small company, having a few panes of glass was a major point in deciding to go with JumpCloud, as we have a mix of Linux, Windows, and primarily macOS machines. Having less tool sprawl for administration was essential, and has affected our choices with other software/services as we first look at, and heavily tilt in favor of services that can integrate with JumpCloud, either via LDAP, or some other cloud directory/SSO option like SAML.
• User security - Passwords, password resets, lockout, etc.
• Single Sign On support
• Multiplatform support
• Feature expansion
• Very generous trial options
• Great community support from both JumpCloud, and their userbase
• Respond well to feature requests
• MacOS MDM features - Improving, but not to some Apple dedicated service levels yet (Jamf, Mosyle...)
• Better communication of software/feature/agent changes
• More RADIUS options (multiple connections from single IP!)
JumpCloud is least suited in situations where you have few devices, but lots of users. JumpCloud heavily focuses on the "One-User-One-Device" type of use, and does lack some of the features things like Active Directory is better suited for when having multiple users accessing one machine.

Their Powershell APIs are fantastic and getting only more powerful. Lots of features are hidden behind these APIs, so admins not as familiar with Powershell would have more issues leveraging these tools.

BYOD deployments are amazing, especially for macOS devices that are using Apple Business Manager and can leverage Zero Touch deployments. It is especially good at handling mixed systems, whereas other options, such as Jamf, are really suiting only for macOS, or Intune is more suited for Windows; JumpCloud managed to handle both systems well.

We came across with JumpCloud when we were looking a solution to replace our on-premises Active Directory .
Now JumpCloud is more than a directory and allow as to manage our users and devices.
Perfect tool to help in hybrid work environment.
• Device management
• Integration with other tools
• User management
• Reporting
• MDM for Android
Well suited If you need to move your AD to the cloud, if you need to manage a large fleet of devices and operating systems

Can't really think on any scenario where it could be less appropriate

Within Datactics we leverage JumpCloud as our main Directory Service - Linked up to our Office 365 tenant the platform makes user management simple, allowing us to control our user accounts and provision access as required - We also use JC to manage our use endpoints, each having the JC Agent installed this has made Windows & Linux system management easy to do for the entire team - We also use JC for SSO making user provisioning across other services a breeze and being able to control access from a single pain on glass is great.

When we first evaluated JC our use case was a simple one of user/device management - Out of all the vendors we looked at JumpCloud ticked all the boxes - Since implementation we have continued to grow with JC and hope to continue doing so in the future.

Day to day now I would say that JC is one of the most commonly used platforms across the companies estate.
• User Management - The ability to control our users and set password/polices is made easy in the JC console
• Device Management - Using JC each user is assigned to their own device with only the rights to do their job - When elevated rights are required, this is done simply via the JC console for the period of time required
• SSO - Using JC's SAML SSO integrations we are building out our SSO offering and this is making for a much simpler daily user experience
• SSO via OpenID - Opening up their SSO from just SAML to including OpenID (OAuth) would allow us to make more use of the service and to also incorporate it into some internal testing suites
• Time Limited User Elevation - The ability to time limit a users elevation of privileges would be a great addition
• Extending device management to include LPA - Least Privilege Access is becoming a bigger ask from our external auditors - Being able to do this via JC would be amazing
For companies like us requiring a single pain of glass for user and device administration which is cloud agnostic JC is a great fit - The ease of use and simple setup make the offering each to use for IT and non-IT people alike - Extending the platform and using offerings such as SSO, Patch Management, Mobile Device Management will only further add to the platforms value. Cost is also another factor, for smaller companies the ability to pick and choose modules will mean great cost savings and only paying for what you need.

For anyone who is committed to one cloud vendor (O365, Google) then their experience may be limited however I would still say that JC offers more value for money, giving access to premium features that other big players charge a fortune for.

We use JumpCloud as our Tech Stack foundation. It starts with linking with our HRIS to build the user base and then manages our users via the directory which then links to our Tech App Stack to grant access via SSO. We also use it as our MDM for device management for handheld and computer devices. We use it as our security platform to secure and meet compliance. This is also used to manage and support our users and their devices.

JumpCloud is something that i would re-deploy again. It's a simple product that packs a lot of punch for user creation, app/account access, device management, security and more

Due to JumpCloud growing rapidly, they are releasing and refining features and the needs are constantly changing. Due to this, some of the new features are works in progress yet strong and impactful, but might be missing some key features

On the plus, JumpCloud has a great ear and listens to their clients and makes the needed improvements in ample time.

We use it to manage Windows and MacOS devices. We implement users from our Azure AD and manage their devices with JumpCloud. We also use the Password Manager.
• SSO
• Password Manager
• Apple MDM
• Cloud Directory user integration
• Tutorial Documentation
• Password Manager could use more options for organization, such as sub-folders
• It would be nice if there were more built-in policies
It's great for managing users and devices across Windows, Mac, and Linux. It handles SSO and authentication well.

JumpCloud has allowed us to implement, simply and quickly, the management of access to different corporate resources using a single set of credentials.
• Complete and unified user management
• Highly performing and extremely secure LDAP service
• Password management
• Single Sign On access management simple and intuitive to use
• The technical documentation available is not very complete and is not always updated. JumpCloud should implement a real wiki like, for example OKTA, which has a very large, complete and easy to understand online documentation
• The possibility of having a user portal with a personalized URL is missing
JumpCloud completely eliminates the need to manage Microsoft Active Directory for access to on-premise resources and, through the SSO functionality, allows you to manage and regulate access to cloud resources.

We use JumpCloud as a centralised platform to manage users identity, devices and enforce conditional access policies to embed a zero trust information security model. The product addresses three areas in one platform being identity and access management, mobile device management across both MacOS and Windows devices as well as becoming a more secure organisation with zero trust policies defined.
• Scope includes all Operating Systems for MDM
• One centralised platform for easy management
• Easy UI navigation on the platform
• More reporting capabilities and tracking of users/auditing
• SSO pre-configured settings are not always correct
• Patching of applications as they only can patch OS
As we were looking for a new way to manage identity (move away from Active Directory) and replace our current MDM platform, JumpCloud came out on top as it covers a range of capabilities to address our requirements. For identity management, it assists us with getting rid of Active Directory and embedding SSO functionality. For MDM, it covers both MacOS and Windows which is great coverage with a hybrid split. Additionally, it has conditional access policy functionality to help with uplift information security and embedding zero trust.

JumpCloud is used across the entire organization. We looked for a central and simple single sign-on solution, with good user interface and integration. After review, we selected JumpCloud over other options.
• single sign on
• auto redirect
• Domain name changes are not supported.
• Change back and forth between user and admin mode.
JumpCloud is a simple single sign-on solution. It has good integration with Gsuite, Github, Atlassian (Jira, Confluence, etc.). Its user interface is a little cumbersome, but it continues to improve.

JumpCloud is used primarily by the DevOps team but is used across the entire company. JumpCloud allows us to have a single user directory across all on-premise and hosted servers instead of one for each location(local, one per AWS Region, GCP, etc). Groups of Users can be easily granted access only to the necessary systems for job duties.
• Single user directory across all platforms
• Run scripts on Windows Servers
• Single sign-on
• Multi-factor authentication (MFA) for Windows server sign in
• Persist user groups to Windows local user groups
• Minor UI refresh issues
JumpCloud allows us to have a single user directory across all on-premise and hosted servers instead of one for each location(local, one per AWS Region, GCP, etc). Trying to manage the numerous user directories and users remembering their credentials was more work than it was worth. Groups of users within the JumpCloud portal can easily be granted access only to the necessary systems for job duties. JumpCloud also helps us meet PCI Level 1 requirements with the enforcement of password strength/renewal requirements, and multi-factor authentication(MFA) to the JumpCloud Portal to manage all of the users.
