Use Cases and Deployment Scope

NetSuite is our Financial System, which contains all financial data. It is fully integrated with other tools within the company, such as commission, HR profiles, and Salesforce (CRM). We also utilise NetSuite ERP for Reports, be that to various stakeholders or internal managers. One of the benefits is automation; numerous journals can be automated within NetSuite.

Pros

 • Automation
 • Reporting
 • User-Friendly.

Cons

 • Administration Controls.
 • Slow
 • Bank connectivity.

Likelihood to Recommend

I come from a background of Oracle and using the installed version of Oracle, using Netsuite, as a SaaS (Software as a Solution), it is much easier to manage the tool. As an admin user, I love the way NetSuite operates and how user-friendly it is. Furthermore, automation helps reduce time and connections with other tools.

NetSuite - Game Changer for the Pharmaceutical Distributor Business

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our company fully encompasses the use of NetSuite for accounting, inventory, sales, purchases, and picking and packing of pharmaceutical products. We enter our purchase orders, inventory items, accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales prospects, sales leads, customer orders, customer order returns, and our picking and packing of products through NetSuite. We have our voice over IP desktop phone application fully incorporated into NetSuite so that phone call interactions, SMS, and text messages are fully captured in our system.

Pros

 • Capture inventory information.
 • Capture purchase information.
 • Capture transcripts of VoIP calls as well as SMS and text messages.
 • Capture various aspects of sales interactions, from sales prospects to product sales.
 • Streamlines the picking and packing process of our products.
 • Great reporting structure.

Cons

 • Users sometimes lose synchronization to their accounts, and administrator interference is necessary.
 • Certain searches and reports can be clunky at times, so you need to learn how to use the search feature and reporting feature at a higher level to yield optimal results.
 • There is a steep learning curve for those that are unfamiliar with ERPs. More self-help tools would be nice to see.

Likelihood to Recommend

NetSuite, along with certain third-party software, streamlines the entire work process for pharmaceutical distributors. From the cultivation of sales accounts to the purchasing aspect and the picking, packing, and shipping process, NetSuite handles things for you. Albeit NetSuite is somewhat expensive, they do offer much that comes along with the price tag. They are always available to jump on a call or have a video meeting to quickly address your current needs or any issues that might arise.

NetSuite is Great

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I am in Accounts Payable so i use most of the modules. More specifically including the vendor bill, client refund, Bill Pay, and Saved searches. We use NS across the board though for all of our reporting, tracking and transactions. I wouldn’t change anything about the system. I would recommend to everyone!

Pros

 • Reporting
 • Bill pay
 • Invoice creation
 • AR system navigation

Cons

 • Cross linking transactions
 • GL reporting
 • Theme options

Likelihood to Recommend

I don’t know if I have any more specific scenarios, but as I said, me and all of my colleagues trust the full abilities of the system to ensure our needs are met across the board. I will say onboarding took some time and patience but in the end, it was all worth it!

One Of The Better Solutions Available

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use NS in our organization to do everything from booking journal entries, creating reports, publishing financials, maintaining fixed assets, issuing debt and recognizing revenue and lease liabilities/assets.In my opinion, NS is the most intuative and logical erp system versus PeopleSoft, SAP and even Microsoft Dynamics. I have had the opportunity to use the system as an admin, reviewer and preparer for all finance and accounting functions.

Pros

 • Tracks fixed assets and debt activity for month end rollforwards.
 • Creates a solid audit trail and supporting documentation path for anyone to follow, internally or externally (auditor).
 • Maintains reporting structure and workflow processes for better implementation as training or process improvement/overhaul.

Cons

 • Pages feel visually dated and layout at times lacks modern spacing, grouping and design logic.
 • Navigation is sometimes cumbersome and takes a while to understand and navigate through. Menus are overly nested and inconsistent across certain modules.
 • The dashboard experience is clunky and feels limited with the flexibility and modern interactivity.
 • You have to click through a ton of screens to get your forms customized to your liking which is overly time consuming and can be frustrating.
 • Search UX is functional but in my opinion, not very intelligent.

Likelihood to Recommend

Best suited for mid-market to lower scale enterprises (under 2,000 employees) especially if migrating from Quickbooks or another fragmented small business system. Also, multi-entity and global operational businesses are very well suited as there is robust functionality around multi-subsidiary, multi-currency and multi-tax controls. Finally, businesses with inventory & supply chain heavy businesses would find the functionality very useful as the system allows warehouse management, lot/batch tracking, fulfillment, etc.

Not well suited for startups (a lot of functionality not needed) or very small businesses (under $3mm in revenues). Overkill in complexity and cost and implementation leg-work is necessary relative to the underlying operations of the business. Also, companies with a heavy manufacturing business (shop floor execution) lacks depth with true manufacturing ERPs like Epicor, Infor, etc. and companies expecting consumer grade UX feels like the interface isn't modern or very intuitive right out of the box.

NetSuite is the right platform for middle market companies

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

NetSuite is our primary accounting system. We have it integrated with a number of other third party solutions that streamline both the entering of data into NetSuite and the utility of extracted data from NetSuite. NetSuite is the backbone of all of our financial reporting.

Pros

 • Data syncing and access for a decentralized workforce
 • Fixed asset management
 • Customizability
 • Multicurrency
 • Multi entity
 • Product/Department/Location framework

Cons

 • Allocations
 • Multi year balance sheet reporting

Likelihood to Recommend

NetSuite is a great solution when a company outgrows QuickBooks. NetSuite handles multiple users very well, and being a cloud platform, there are no issues with data sync errors. The system can handle vast amounts of data, whether it be customer lists and transactions, large fixed asset registers, employee records, detailed credit card transactions, etc. NetSuite is also very customizable (for example, adding custom fields to group certain vendors, and then being able to report off of those custom fields), and that makes it work for so many companies in disparate industries.

If the need is for a wide group of people to have access, NetSuite's pricing might be prohibitive. This can be worked around by extracting NetSuite data to another third party repository. There are great third party tools to facilitate easy data extraction, BI, dashboarding, etc.

NetSuite ERP will make your life easier

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use NetSuite ERP as our main ERP since about 2020, when we moved away from Sage 50, mostly because it "runs in the cloud". NetSuite ERP helped us to merge 2 softwares in one (Sage 50 and Act). Now, instead of having customers, prospects and leads in a software and do our sales, quotes, invoices, and even accounting in a different software, we can use NetSuite ERP for everything. Much better

Pros

 • Reports
 • Stock control
 • Customer's management

Cons

 • License management
 • Integration with 8x8
 • Item's Lot Control

Likelihood to Recommend

If you have a small company, NetSuite ERP might be an investiment too high. We have a team of a total of about 30 persons, of which not everyone has NetSuite ERP access, so if your company has something similar and different roles, like sales, accounting, warehouse manager, purchasing, etc, then I think NetSuite ERP would be a good fit for you too

Streamlining Global Education Operations with NetSuite ERP

Rating: 9 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

we use NetSuite ERP as a core platform to manage and streamline our global operations across finance, procurement, inventory, and customer management. As a cybersecurity education and certification body with international reach, we needed a solution that could support scale, automate manual processes, and provide real-time visibility into business performance. Before NetSuite, we faced challenges like fragmented systems, time-consuming reporting, and compliance difficulties across regions. NetSuite helped us overcome these by offering a unified cloud-based system that automates key processes such as order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and financial reporting. It also enables better inventory control for our courseware distribution and improves customer engagement through integrated CRM. With real-time dashboards and centralized data, our teams now work more efficiently, and leadership is empowered to make faster, data-driven decisions.

Pros

 • order to cash automation
 • Revenue Recognition
 • Inventory and Material Management

Cons

 • User Interface and Navigation
 • Complexity in Customization
 • Poor Mobile Experience

Likelihood to Recommend

we’ve found NetSuite ERP to be quite effective in managing our global operations, especially when it comes to finance and course delivery. One area where it really works well is financial consolidation. Since we have multiple entities across countries like India, the US, and the Middle East, NetSuite helps us handle different currencies, taxes, and regulatory requirements smoothly. Earlier, we used to spend a lot of time manually consolidating reports—now it’s automated and available in real time. Another place where NetSuite has been a big help is revenue recognition. Many of our training programs run across weeks or months, and we can’t just recognize the full income upfront. NetSuite allows us to recognize revenue step-by-step, as the course progresses, which keeps our accounting accurate and compliant with international standards.

We also like how it supports end-to-end processes, from a student registering online to invoicing, payment collection, and even issuing the final certificate, everything is tracked within one system. It also gives our teams access to role-based dashboards. So, whether it’s finance, operations, or customer service, everyone sees only what they need to, and they get live data, no more chasing reports or waiting for someone to share Excel files. However, NetSuite is not perfect for every situation. For small startups or companies just starting out, it might be too heavy, both in terms of cost and complexity. If you just need basic billing and reporting, simpler tools like Tally or Zoho Books might be enough

NetSuite - Good ERP from Oracle.

Rating: 7 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are the implementing partner of NetSuite, and we implement NetSuite for customer who plans to have a better and easier-to-use ERP system. The primary scope is to manage the general ledger and accounting book, which the business operates across a single country/currency. NetSuite, with its OneWorld account, offers a very effective method of financial consolidation, and its standard reporting provides all the necessary information.

Pros

 • Account Consolidation.
 • Reporting

Cons

 • Bank Reconciliation.

Likelihood to Recommend

NetSuite suits a mid-sized company best where the organization uses multiple currencies in its day-to-day transactions. NetSuite is ready-to-use for businesses that follow financial standards. The more custom business processes there are, the more implementation is required. I would not recommend NetSuite to a large organization due to its performance issues. Additionally, the in-house bank reconciliation tool is not user-friendly for business purposes.

One tool to do it all.

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use NetSuite for all aspects of our Business except for HR, payroll, and Marketing. We use NetSuite ERP for Order capture, both through the UI and via SCA. We utilize NS for our comprehensive financial controls and as the source of truth. We use NS for Automation of our custom products, with workflows, Matrix items, and using Extendtech (partner), we can automate a complicated special order process. We use NetSuite to streamline our Warehouse operations with the WMS module and use SmartCount to perform real-time inventory counts.

Pros

 • Multi-Subsidiary Accounting.
 • Order to Cash Management.
 • Multi-Currency Accounting.

Cons

 • The CRM module is not user-friendly, and its workflows are cumbersome.
 • The Advanced Analytics module (workbooks) is not user-friendly.
 • Marketing campaigns can be challenging to administer within the system.

Likelihood to Recommend

NetSuite is a comprehensive solution that can be configured as needed or through third-party applications. It is a robust platform; however, the costs of overhead can add up for SMB. With the new Oracle Redwood injection, the UI is getting a better, more modern look. The help tools are improving, and some AI assistants (LLMs) will make a significant difference for users.
