Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

I am currently using Alchemer to collect data on a cognitive assessment I've built for another company. I'm also using Alchemer panels to collect the data.
  • Many different question types
  • Easy ways to test the survey
  • Priced well
  • Can use individual passcodes for people to take surveys
  • The CSR's are nice but not that helpful
  • There aren't great ways to upload survey questions
  • Downloading data can be a little clunky
It is well suited for creating surveys with a variety of questions and collecting data. If you need to create surveys quickly or make broad changes to the survey often, this would be a difficult platform to work with.
They try and figure things out with you but it mostly just ends up wasting your time.

Alchemer is deployed across many department[s] in our business and is used for many purposes including running internal and external surveys. With this software, we can easily know what our clients think about services and know where to improve to be better. Internally, we use this software when collecting data from different departments using custom forms. With these forms, we can initiate processes, manage data easily, and much more. Alchemer has been very beneficial.
  • Using Alchemer is easy thanks to the attractive and modern UI.
  • The software is very resourceful - offers many features.
  • Data collection is easy with Alchemer.
  • The support team is amazing when it comes to responding to queries.
  • Integrations with other tools are not easy, [but] everything else is great.
With the capabilities of Alchemer, I would recommend it with no reservations. The software is ideal for businesses that constantly need to run surveys both external and internal. It also offers many features that makes running internal affairs of a business easy. Most businesses in almost all industries can benefit from this tool.
The support team is amazing. I have contacted them several times and they are prompt and knowledgeable.

We've used Alchemer (formerly SurveyGizmo) in my current district to obtain large data sets of input from parents, staff, and students. It is easy to use and can quickly collect data that can be easily analyzed.
  • ease of use
  • inexpensive
  • easy for those on the receiving end to respond
  • downloading content into different graphic organizers
Easy to use with teachers, staff, and students. Students can create simple and complex data gathering surveys, as can staff. We've used for smaller scale collections of staff and larger scale with the greater community.
Great customer service and message boards to get support and assistance from other users.

Alchemer is being used both to address internal as well as client needs. Internally, we have created several forms and targeted notifications to convey internal departmental need. This standardizes the collection of data to various departments to initiate work orders, resource requests, checking in and out equipment , various requests, etc. We also use Alchemer for dates a collection and bounce back client programs.
  • Capability
  • Flexibility
  • User Support
  • Back end hosting
  • Higher file size thresholds for uploads
Alchemer is one of the most flexible offerings in its category. We find new ways to leverage Alchemer year over year. For more advanced forms and surveys, it is useful to have some foundational skills to better conceive and style your solutions. That is a small trade off in exchange for the capability and flexibility it provides. In the absence of [these] foundation skills, a more pedestrian solution may be [better] suited to one's needs.
Every once in awhile, it is necessary to solicit support. On those occasions, support is extremely responsive and supportive. It has been my experience that [if] they can't walk you through the desired endpoint, they will take a look at your build and remedy for you.

Survey Gizmo is being used in the organization primarily for surveys used to identify consumer and product opportunities, path to purchase research, brand research, and trade-off analysis. It's only used in the marketing research department by maybe 4-5 people casually, but I'm the power user for Survey Gizmo and developing surveys.
  • Cost effective
  • Solves complicated analysis
  • Survey platform
  • Not the best user experience in developing long surveys
  • Not a completely seamless integration of redirects
  • Could be better skip logic
Survey Gizmo is perfect for developing short surveys, doing trade-off analysis (conjoint and maxdiff), and is a good cost-effective alternative to the more expensive platforms out there.

Meritorious Survey App

We have been using Alchemer surveys to conduct market research and sometimes we use it for baseline as well as endline studies for our CSR programs in the community. The experience has been good so far: the app is easy to use, compliant to respondents protection policies, secure and it easily integrates with [our] organization's IT infrastructure.
  • The app has features such as logic which enhances compliance, etc.
  • The app has good inbuilt error tracking systems that are able to detect the challenges associated with some choices of question types and provides alternatives especially for calendars .
  • The global library for questions and templates makes life much easier for surveys that don't require reinventing the will.
  • I think the prices are on the higher side compared to other providers on the market.
I think the app is ideal to almost all settings except for surveys that seeks personal identifiers.
The current customer channels need to be broadened.

I work at a large corporation that performs many internal surveys for employee feedback after town-halls. Furthermore, I work on a smaller team that performs process audits via on-site customer visits and engages with external employees via a variety of survey tools. My team, and a variety of other administrative teams, in my organization utilize SurveyGizmo in order to attain the necessary data in order to accomplish our business objectives. SurveyGizmo offers the organization, and my business-specific team, the ability to effectively strategize, plan, and deploy surveys and then effectively track and analyze the results. Overall, SurveyGizmo helps my organization do more work, analyze results, and inform decision makers in an incredibly reliable way.
  • Fantastic integration with external tools such as Salesforce.
  • The platform is consistently being provided with recognizable upgrades. It speaks to the continuous improvement nature of the platform.
  • Data analyzation is incredibly efficient. One can export survey results to a variety of formats for quick use.
  • New features come out often - but pricing on additional features can be quite steep.
  • Creating surveys for mobile devices has been a bit more difficult than my experience on other platforms.
  • If you update a template, your previous surveys are not automatically updated. Therefore, if you want to utilize a previous survey, you'll have to manually re-work to apply those changes.
SurveyGizmo works extremely well as a platform for receiving survey responses. As a survey/business analytics tool, the platform offers extensive options for customization and deployment of professional questionnaires. Our team has found SurveyGizmo to be extremely well suited for the modern administrative employee. Surveys are relatively easy to create, deploy, and manage responses in real time. Furthermore, monitoring / managing the results enables businesses to provide any necessary follow-up based on key results. Our team spends quite a bit of time testing out survey tools and have found SurveyGizmo to be a solid option for the needs of our team. Furthermore, we have recommended the platform to other departments within our organization that have uniquely different skillsets from our own. Overall, we see SurveyGizmo as a tool that can be used across most organizational teams if implemented with the specific user-experience in mind.

SurveyGizmo is being used for our Patient-Centered Research initiatives. We work with corporate partners to develop questions and provide data from our constituents. It is a very useful tool because it helps streamline our survey process and allow for detailed and quality responses that can be used for future studies in hopes of improving outcomes for our patients.
  • Streamlines the survey process and provides quality data.
  • Provides a wide variety of question types and filtering options in order to ensure the proper questions are being asked.
  • Better improves outcomes for constituents/patients.
  • Easy to edit and reformat questions as desired.
  • Easy to navigate, export data, and create reports.
  • Duplicate protection needs improvement. Anyone who would like to start a survey and finish at a later time is unable to which limits total survey responses.
  • Password protection option can be a challenge when uploading spreadsheets with pre-populated data.
  • Logic and piping options for questions can be difficult when designing more complicated and in-depth surveys, which requires a lot of testing.
  • Follow-up surveys do not provide an option for survey takers to review their previous survey responses, which may provide less accurate data when comparing individuals across multiple surveys.
  • Would like the option to link surveys together in order to more easily track data from individuals across multiple surveys and save previous survey data.
SurveyGizmo is well suited for complex research surveys that require a lot of detailed data from constituents. It is also the ideal platform to use when incentives such as gift cards are given to survey completers. It may not be as appropriate in other departments that don't collect this level of detailed data from constituents.

We use Survey Gizmo for numerous projects across our organization, from marketing to customer support to product. Each department has different uses for the tool, and due to the flexibility and customizations available, each department can build surveys to fit their unique needs. We conduct customer surveys, external surveys, and also use it for internal feedback from employees.
  • The numerous options you can pick from to build survey questions
  • Reporting capabilities, ranging from exports in Excel to visualizations
  • The ease of use. Anyone can figure out how to use the tool
  • Ability to make certain survey results private
  • Some of the questions aren't easy to manipulate in terms of how they render on the survey visually
  • More customizations for the look and feel of the survey page
SurveyGizmo is easy to learn, provides great reporting, and can be used across multiple teams. I would recommend it for a cost effective survey tool.

SurveyGizmo was used by my company to make surveys for our clients. We were able to use it for many different functions, including (but not limited to) competitive analysis, overall evaluations, attribute evaluations, and problem experience. It was used primarily by Program Managers. It addressed the need for a survey platform.
  • User - friendly - intuitive.
  • Strong capabilities - able to create questions easily and logic, as well.
  • Logic - able to apply logic easily and successfully, with a high level of confidence that it will perform.
  • Advanced logic - more difficult than what it should be. If I'm piping answers to another question, I shouldn't have to create a lengthy logic script for it to perform (this is just with advanced logic).
  • Too "bubbly" of a template - I didn't like the clouds so I had mine switched to a more basic format.
  • Accounts - should be able to create different accounts for different users and separate the surveys based on the user.
It's useful for any type of survey.

We use Survey Gizmo for survey distribution and data evaluation. We do product satisfaction surveys and business interaction satisfaction survey with Survey Gizmo. Additionally, we use the data visualization and data delivery aspects of Survey Gizmo to delivery survey information to key stakeholders. Survey Gizmo solves problems of having only anecdotal information and not having data to back it up.
  • Attaching images! Survey Gizmo makes attaching images from surveys a breeze. I've tried other popular survey tools and it can be difficult for users to submit images as part of their survey (e.g. some only allow 1 picture per question, whereas Survey Gizmo allows a range for you to select from)
  • Easy and intuitive survey building.
  • Pretty good out-of-the-box survey analysis.
  • UI speed - a bit laggy compared to primary competitors
  • Customized field names - we use data visualization software to deep dive into the data and the field names coming out of SurveyGizmo are messy! Primary competitors do it better and allow proxy names for the question.
  • PDF Exports can be a bit all over the place. Some options for PDF exports of the survey responses cut off questions and make it unusable as a print out for my leadership/account managers.
Price to performance, Survey Gizmo is a great tool. There are a couple hiccups but it has a ton of features that you can't get from some of the SMB competition and it even rivals some of the Enterprise competition. If you are looking for a large scale surveying platform, it may be worth it to go with one of the more expensive, team-oriented enterprise versions, but if you're part of a mid sized enterprise or SMB team, SurveyGizmo is worth it.

We use SurveyGizmo as our data collection and data entry tool. We run a few statewide programs that require a big volume of data collection from our audience. SurveyGizmo provides a very easy-to-use platform for us to build the tool and for our target audience to enter data. Over the years, we have also used it a few times for events/conference registration.
  • Besides basic features, SurveyGizmo also allows you to write your own scripts to extend the feature to a more powerful level.
  • Integration with Google Sheets and Salesforce, etc allows data to be centralized within your organization for further data analysis.
  • If you need to run apple-to-apple pre and post survey comparison, SurveyGizmo's unique URL variable feature can make that happen beautifully.
  • SurveyGizmo allows you to encrypt your survey data, which is important for us because we are dealing with a lot of PHI and need the encryption. However, by doing so, we can't search any keyword within the survey result. The work around is that we have to download the data set as an Excel file and then search from there.
  • Our organization has to follow the HIPAA laws and therefore, majorities of our surveys need to be encrypted. However, when we start any new survey, there's no way for us to default it to turn on the encryption. It is a step that's very easy to forget. Once you finish building it and start having test data, you won't be able to turn on the encryption and you have to set up a new survey instead to do so. By setting up a new survey, your survey URL is a different one. Then you always have to set up a redirect if you have already shared the old URL.
  • A lot of times when you make changes of a survey, such as adding a new question, then you use the edit link to go back to add data for that new question. However, edit link usually fails to show the new question.

Perfect for:

1) Apple to apple pre-post survey and data comparison.

2) Event registration.

3) Online training evaluation

Less appropriate:

Email campaign survey. Majority of emails from SG ends up in spam or cutter.

SurveyGizmo is used as our main survey creation and data collection system. It is used by the Research team in the Marketing department for various projects and to support research of programs throughout the organization.
  • Features - Includes features such as NPS and Max Diff.
  • Easy to Use - Very user friendly and easy to pick up.
  • Cost - great value for its capabilities.
  • Options - Multiple question types and reporting options.
  • Report sharing - Great report sharing features via email and links.
  • Could improve data sharing between projects. If you have year over year data you'd like to consolidate, the process is a bit of a hassle.
  • Occasionally have issues with the system running slow/opening files.
  • Customers occasionally complain they cannot access the survey due to too many users connecting at one time.
I believe SurveyGizmo to be a good choice in most situations. I can't think of any times where it wouldn't be appropriate to use. It has been well suited for our member-based organization to collect both ad-hoc type surveys, as well as ongoing, monthly, and consistent event attendee satisfaction and program surveys.

Several departments in our company use SurveyGizmo, but not enterprise-wide. It is used for event signups, service feedback, quick polls, reader surveys and internal surveys. The ability to automate many tasks and connect with our marketing automation system is key.
  • Easy to edit and create surveys. Intuitive CMS.
  • Ability to connect via API to our marketing automation system.
  • Responsive surveys for use on virtually any device. Many design options.
  • Service and support is outstanding.
  • Detailed and customized reporting. Ability to download reports in various formats.
  • Control over nearly every aspect of survey. Quotas, ability to return to finish survey, end dates etc.
  • A few too many sub-menus, but overall not too bad.
