What is Traqq?

Traqq is offered as an ethical time tracking solution for client-focused teams, professional services companies, and distributed organizations that need visibility into workload, projects, and billable work without employee surveillance.

Traqq focuses on transparent time tracking instead of invasive monitoring. It does not use screenshots, idle time tracking, activity tracking, or app and website monitoring. Teams can track time with automatic timers or manual entries, organize work by tasks, projects, clients, and tags.

Traqq is available through the web app, Windows and macOS desktop apps, and the browser extension. It connects with 20+ tools, including Asana, Jira, Slack, Trello, and Figma.

Managers can plan team capacity, compare planned hours with actual tracked time, and spot workload gaps with workload analytics. The shared time off calendar gives teams visibility into vacations, partial days, and reduced working hours.

Traqq also supports client work and project financial tracking with billing and cost rates, billable hours, revenue and cost reports, invoicing, and expense tracking. Roles and permissions help teams control access to sensitive information, including financial data, client details and team records.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Hi. So I have used Traqq once for testing purposes and as an HR I must admit it is one of the most useable tools when you are going to handle vast teams specifically remotely. The best part is the scheduled reports as we, along with my managers always forget to submit the reports. The fact that which reports sending, when to send, when to receive, and what gets added in them is the best solution. Moreover, it provides factual segregated data for transparency from where you can fetch the root of problems and find optimal solutions. Please add a biometric or geolocation attendance system integrated into it so that it becomes the world's number one solution to HRs.

Pros

  • Accurate reporting of each employee
  • Segregated access to each team member
  • Scheduled reports
  • Ability to handle large and remote teams

Cons

  • Attendance integration

Most Important Features

  • Scheduled reports

Return on Investment

  • Haven't used in yet for organization

How did I not know about Traqq sooner?

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

All employees are based in different time zones. This led to delayed communication and wasted time. Traqq helped streamline our employees' sense of time among their colleagues. For example, prior to Traqq, our employees did not know the proper time to contact other people on our team. I saw an overall improvement in everyones' time management. We have to use Traqq daily as most employees are working full-time. I personally also need Traqq to help coordinate scheduling lessons between our educators and students.

Pros

  • The interface is super user-friendly
  • Whenever I need support, the maximum response time seems to be 24 hours - However, I usually get a response sooner
  • Traqq does not feel invasive to our employees as well as myself personally
  • Interface is very interactive and has saved me a lot of wasted time

Cons

  • A mobile app would be nice, as I'm not always at the computer
  • Perhaps there should be an option for a darker interface? Sometimes, I have to work late nights using Traqq

Most Important Features

  • Everyone actually understanding what time it is for any employee at any given time in the day
  • Reviewing the efficiency of each employees' time management

Return on Investment

  • I've saved at least 10 hours/week on trying to do time management myself
  • No employees have resigned with the reason that Traqq is too "invasive" - it helps us keep our employees while improving the quality of the company

Traqq's the new superman!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Traqq in tracking my time basically. Before I was introduced to Traqq, I had a variety of things taking my time, but because of Traqq at the end of my everyday work, I get access to a pie chart that shows the several applications I used and the amount of time I spent there. This in a way has helped increased my productivity because this way, I know what is eating my productivity hours. Great app!

Pros

  • Gave me a detailed report of my daily activities, even hours of productivity.
  • My clients were not left behind every step of the way in my project. They had access to my activities and knew the periods I was inactive and even the apps I visited (although they blurred the screen, my clients were aware along the line, I visited a couple of applications) I loved that Traqq is conscious of its user's privacy. This is something you don't see in all Tracking apps.
  • Helps me track my hours effectively. This way, I had no issues on paydays because I was receiving the exact money for the exact time I worked. This is the big deal for me because no one like to work really hard and be underpaid, and neither does anyone want to overpay a lazy freelancer. I really love this about Traqq.

Cons

  • After the hypes I heard from the Traqq app, I tried using it with my Dell Latitude 7480, but it didn't work so I had to switch to my iPad. It was later I Googled and found that Traqq doesn't work on devices using Linux operating system. This is a major setback for me.

Most Important Features

  • Time Tracking
  • Effective Time management
  • Putting my clients and employers in the loop of every project I undertake.

Return on Investment

  • I've been able to get things done faster with Traqq. One of my clients made a comment a while back(I asked for her permission before posting this). She said, "I loved how I don't get to pay freelancers for doing nothing, now I pay employees according to the quality of work I receive". We both laughed about it though, but I believe that's a positive impact on her.
  • I've been able to write more, knowing that my clients can see my major moves. My main aim is to impress my employers to get good feedback in return and Traqq helps me greatly in that area.

The tracking system that is easy to be used

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It helps me to track my daily work. Also, my manager can see my activity and know what apps are used by me. The activity can be used as for small report for my own needs like wage discussion, etc. I feel safe that my private information won't be seen by anyone except my company. Moreover, I can stop my screen recording once I need to.

Pros

  • Easy to be used while tracking my work.
  • I am sure about my privacy (screenshots can be deleted or muted)
  • Can stop recording anytime I need to.

Cons

  • Add multiple foreign languages.

Most Important Features

  • The UI/UX
  • Statistics

  • I only have got the positive impact

Simple and effective productivity time tracker

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As a freelancer, this app means I can examine how much time I am spending on productive tasks, particularly by looking through the app's productivity timeline, which has a great colour system meaning that I can see and understand my productivity levels at a glance. Although the app is designed for use by larger businesses, it works for me on an individual level for seeing where I can manage my time better. Moreover, screenshots are taken of what sites I'm on throughout the day, but they are blurred which is great, as it still maintains a level of privacy.

Pros

  • The productivity colour system (red, amber, green) displayed on the work timeline works really well for quickly gauging productivity
  • Reports are easy to generate, and can quickly be sent to others.
  • Privacy features make it feel like a productivity tracker rather than a surveillance product.

Cons

  • Lack of a clear option for dark mode, which would be useful to reduce eye strain as the app is predominantly white.
  • No options to increase or decrease the level of detail in reports, which would be nice to change depending on what kind of report is being sent.
  • Whilst the timeline is clear, it would be nice if it was a bit bigger, and perhaps if it highlighted key parts of the day.

Most Important Features

  • Time tracking.
  • Report generation.
  • Timeline.

Return on Investment

  • As a freelancer, this app cost nothing, so it has only helped to increase my productivity.
