The only downside to the WatchGuard package license is the cost if parts of the license are not being used. … The ROI has been positive both financially and from a customer's point of view, utilising the discount from being a partner, and the improved level of security and support offered to clients.

A negative impact, and the only one worth mentioning, is that of having to license the Dimension software, as that should be included with the security suite subscription. … Meraki was relatively more expensive and SonicWall's solutions did not stack up well against the features provided by WatchGuard's Firebox appliances.

Considering the high cost of the wireless controller, having it come free with an application is a great value The hardware is enterprise-class, rarely do we have hardware related issues. … Because of the subscription model, watchguard always provides a discount for upgrading devices once the existing device is EOL.

When considering a WG device and service, there is wiggle room for price negotiating with resellers, and is best/cheaper to purchase the services subscription in 3-year increments. … The security services provided with the paid subscriptions is worth it!
