Overall Satisfaction with 1Password

1Password is required to be used by the entire organization. We are a HIPAA compliant company and security is extremely important across the entire company. With so much software being used by different departments, the threat of having passwords stolen should be a huge priority in any organization. It helps keep us protected as well as compliant with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Security.
  • Encrypted secure password generator.
  • If you do not remember your core password, it can be very difficult to recover your account.
  • Interface can always use improvement
  • 1Password checks a box if we were ever audited for HIPAA compliance.
  • We have had zero password breaches since using 3 years ago.
I have tried a few different password managers over the years.

Google Password Manager: This a good solution if your organization is all using Google products. I feel it is not as secure as 1Password as the passwords are open while using the browser, meaning if you step away, anyone can access websites that you have access to.

Norton: Norton is sold as an all in one package of security, VPN, password manager, etc. The interface is very clunky and through my decision making feel a company that solely focuses on password security is a better choice.
Here is where I feel they 1Password can do a better job. Knowledgebase could be better and I believe they could support companies better than they do. It is not terrible, but if I had to knock them, this would be the area that I believe all companies can improve. There are many password managers on the market and customer support is one way to really stand out from your competition.

I have used a few different password managers and 1Password handles all our company's needs. It is fairly easy to manage across the organization for each user. It can be easily deactivated should an employee be terminated. Overall, it is a very good all in one solution as a password manager.
