Overall Satisfaction with 1Password

I am currently using it to manage my work passwords in one vault, personal passwords in another and shared family passwords in another vault. I am investigating a shared vault for admin accounts for the team. It allows me to quickly and easily set up unique, complex passwords for every individual sign-in.
  • Encourages better security by not re-using passwords.
  • Allows easy entry of complex passwords.
  • Cost can be a little high for personal use.
  • Mac integration is still better than Windows.
  • If we were to roll it out across the company, password complexity would be much higher which is a positive in any ROI calculation.
1Password is a far more mature and polished product than either of the main competitors. I tested both for ease of integration, features and usability and 1Password is the winner hands down. The ability to store family social security numbers and shared passwords has come in handy many times. I could see having unique service account passwords available as easily being a way to encourage unique and complex passwords for each account.
I only had to reach out to them one time and they answered my question during the initial email exchange. Their newsletters are very helpful in describing new features that I may want to try out. This is one of those packages that just does its job well with little fuss and few headaches.

Yes

It's the best of the many password managers out there for multi-platform integration. I have access to my passwords from my phone, tablet, Windows desktop and Mac laptop. If you were interested in only a single platform or didn't want integration then you could probably get away with using one of the free alternatives.
