Overall Satisfaction with 8x8 Work
Our organization uses 8x8 Work to leverage the service's full capabilities on our desktops. From easy pop-up caller ID to directory look-up, the app makes integration with a deskphone more powerful. In addition, the app allows access to our DID and company phone systems from anywhere in the world.
Pros
- Access to voice, messaging, and voicemail in one easy location.
- Utilization of services via computer vs desk phone.
- Visual notification of cross-platform messaging.
- More easily accessible list of prior calls (inbound and outbound).
Cons
- More seamless switching between desk phone and computer.
- GUI could be nicer looking.
- Integration with NetSuite has been a game changer to customer experience.
- Use of IVR has helped staff avoid answering directly while still providing customers with proper call routing.
- Services provide by 8x8 are 28% lower than our previous system.
Having a centralized location for communication tools has helped, but our transition to these tools has been slow to take hold. Slack, Zoom, and others are being phased out, but employee habits are hard to break. I suggest going cold turkey when anyone makes the switch to force a behavioral change.
It has reduced the frustration of our staff to feel they must answer the phone and allowing the IVR to route calls appropriately. This has resulted in efficiencies in time and effort. Our auto-routing for urgent product issues has also increase customer satisfaction by routing calls directly to field personnel who can resolve customer issues.
