Overall Satisfaction with Absorb LMS

We use it to engage & educate our full time education team. This allows us to update & train over 300 educators. The materials are available for them to download and prepare for classes that they will teach in the field. It allows us to be sustainable and create the files digitally opposed to printing and sending to our field teams.

Pros

  • The ability to brand your site
  • back end is easy to navigate
  • ability to email users

Cons

  • would like to see integration with social media platforms, i.e. instagram, youtube, facebook, etc.
  • would like the ability to add custom templates into email, similar to campaign monitor
  • would like to be able to track/report the data on emails sent, i.e. how many click throughs to links sent, etc.
  • custom badges
  • ability to customize when giving points
  • positive: ROI as we are no longer printing the material for our field staff to have the needed materials for in salon trainings
  • positive: more engagement from our team. We are able to provide reasons for them to want to return. We use scavenger hunts, polls, chat features with daily hot topics etc. for fun interaction
  • By awarding points we are able to have a leaderboard and the top earners over a course of a month receive a prize! Keeps the engagement up
  • Content Creation (Absorb Create)
  • Reporting & Insights (Absorb Analyze or Absorb Amplify Direct)
Time saving. By using Absorb Create we are able to utlize the features to create our courses. This allows for us to not have to do several virtual trainings over the course of the year. We spread over North America and Australia and this allows us to reach other timezones.
We work with an assigned support person. We have bi-weekly calls with her. She is amazing and very knowledgeable. We usually have a list of questions and she is able to answer most if not all. If she can not answer a question on the call she will seek the answer out and email us, even providing links to where we can find the answer on the platform.
They did not have the ability to upload large files. We had to break up powerpoints to store on the site. Also they did not have the ability to really brand the site. They were at a lower cost which was nice when we first started but as we grew and our needs increased they were not able to fill those needs.

The overall ease of the site, the backend is user friendly, you do not have to be techie to understand and navigate the backend. Once you brand the site it beautifully represents who you are and looks like part of your corporate esthetic. When we moved from a different LMS to the Absorb LMS platform our team immediately saw the difference and commented.
