Overall Satisfaction with Absorb LMS

Absorb LMS is the platform that we have used to build out and deliver training for mandatory compliance programs internally and for client training externally. Because we are tangentially a health services organization, the requirements for HIPAA compliance are stringent and annual. A third training function that Absorb LMS provides for us is internal training for new employees in the functions and systems that they will be working with.

  • Course development is somewhat weak and we need to use external applications to develop coursework
  • ROI on compliance initiatives is very difficult to track and measure, however, noncompliance is obvious and dangerous.
  • The development of an online training system has enabled our organization to reduce the need to deliver in-person training to our clients' employees.
  • On boarding of new employees has become much more efficient than it was before we had an online training system.

We have found very few of the advanced features of the Absorb LMS platform useful in our application of a learning management system.
Absorb LMS's client service managers have been extremely responsive, efficient, and available. While we pay for a higher level of support, we have found it well worth the investment. We've been less pleased with the accounting side of the organization, but that has little impact on the delivery of training to our clients and employees.
Two of the other platforms that we tested and evaluated are not available in your list. We looked at systems from EMS1.com delivered by Praetorian, Inc., and we looked at a product called WebAnywhere, with whom we actually contracted for a year before abandoning the platform after finding it much too difficult to use.

We have found the Absorb LMS platform to be particularly well-suited for delivering our internal compliance training and mandatory annual compliance reviews. It has also served us well in creating and delivering documentation training to our clients' employees. On the downside, it is somewhat cumbersome for new learners to get started on the platform.
