Overall Satisfaction with Absorb LMS

We sell pay-per-view courses to the public and special course packages to companies as they request. We also utilize it for new hire orientation courses for eternal companies. Our internal users take courses to prepare for job tasks as needed. All of our incoming trainees are enrolled in specific course bundles.

Pros

  • Admin interface is easy to manage.
  • Course settings have plenty of feature settings to aid in user differentiating.
  • The manager dashboard has sleek view and is packed with valuable information on user progress.

Cons

  • Reporting needs some additional help, especially the Course Activity Report. It would be great to see the description of the course on the header of the report.
  • The courses on the smart devices look wonky and sometimes the videos don't show up, yet you can hear it.
  • The Absorb LMS phone application also needs a lot of work. It does not show all the tiles that are available in the browser version.
  • Increased compliance, we are able to enroll our internal employees into courses to keep them updated.
  • The fact that we now have the ability to deliver training in-house and not outsource it has reduced our cost tremendously.
  • Not only can we reduce cost but now we have the ability to sell our courses to external clients.
  • Content Libraries (Absorb Amplify or 3rd Party Libraries)
  • eCommerce
We have a contract with a third party content company that allows us to use content for a shared cost when we sell to the public through ecommerce. But we do not use Absorb Amplify.
My personal Client Success Manager is not quite prompt with responding and we pay over $5000 per year for the Elite Service. But the Support team's turnaround time when I have an issue is quite expeditious. Additionally, I like that they not only give you an answer but provide further links to resolve future anomalies.

The learner dashboard is beautiful along with the complete interface experience. It doesn't take long to get accustomed to it. The steps for a user to purchase an ecommerce course is very similar to other popular ecommerce site such as Amazon. This is very advantageous since the general user is familiar with sites like Amazon.

The process of using Enrollment Keys is not quite easy and friendly to utilize.
