Overall Satisfaction with Acquia Digital Experience Platform

We use Acquia's DXP for our enterprise clients that have very specific or high standard requirements into regards of hosting and products. Clients that want an extremely flexible front-end we gear towards using Acquia Site Studio, while other use cases where a customer might want to launch 50 sites each year we gear towards Site Factory, sometimes even a combination of the different products and packages.

Pros

  • Easy to self manage
  • Modern approach with Cloud Next

Cons

  • Support sometimes feels a bit like ping pong
  • Real containerised hosting (currently you can only deploy code)
  • Gear the tools towards the needs of customers
  • Great understanding of their offerings
Acquia uses next gen technology and their hosting is done on AWS. From a technical point of view they should be able to scale with minimal effort. Their Cloud Next (containerised approach) also means that load balancing and scalability is a lot easier to do as with traditional hosting set-ups.
Can't compare apples to grapes. But in terms of "Drupal specific" hosting at enterprise level as a PAAS solution I think Acquia is the only one doing it at this scale.

High Availability hosting that complies with all ISO rules and practices. Very well suited for enterprise level clients (pricing is also geared towards those). Some products like Site Studio are unique to Acquia.
