Overall Satisfaction with Acquia Digital Experience Platform

We use Acquia to host our sites. We have been using it in my current organisation for the past 3 years. Site factory and site studio or cohesion are some of the products that we use. Site factory helps in spinning up new sites, cloning existing sites, backing them up and reverting backups.
Good thing about site studio is that it provides an intuitive component builder that non Drupal technical individuals can really get started with when creating new sites. Creating components are just like filling form data which makes this process convenient for many non technical users.

  • SLA can be better for lower priority tickets
  • Should include ssl certs for internal domains
  • Acquia login should be made with company SSO only
  • Better looking websites

Acquia platform as a service is really easy to work with. Coupled with their 24 x 7 customer support and inherent advantages of using Drupal sites with it the advantages outweigh its disadvantages. Other platforms supporting Drupal may provide some functionalities that are better, but if we take Acquia as a whole along with its customer support then as a package I would choose this anytime.
Acquia coupled with their easier interface and 24 x 7 customer service can outweigh its competitors anytime.
Acquia provides a full end to end solution for Drupal websites.

  • Whenever small teams are present with mumerous amount of sites. This is because the customer support of Acquia is better than many others.
  • Developers can easily integrate pipelines for deployments.
  • Code bases, databases and file systems can be transfered between dev, test and prod environment with just a simple mouse drag and drop
Less appropriate -
  • When team needs root access on an emergency.
