Acronis - Not For Everyone
Overall Satisfaction with Acronis Backup & Recovery
We used Acronis as a cheaper alternative to many other backup services we offer. This came in handy for a client who needs offsite data backup, but is unwilling to pay for a better, imaged based solution. We only have two customers on this solution. We don't plan on using it going forward.
- Backs up fairly reliably
- inexpensive
- Support is very lackluster
- Monitoring isn't easy
- Install can be complicated
- We made some money with this product, but not enough. We don't use it enough to even quantify ROI
- Datto, DxContinuum and Carbonite Server Backup
Acronis doesn't stand up to Datto or Continuum when it comes to ease of use, and recovery. Support also doesn't hold a candle to the others. We only chose to use acronis because some of our clients didn't want to pay for a premium service that would work much more reliably and efficiently.
