Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our IT department uses ActivTrak as part of a suite of services to prevent and address cyber threats. In addition, the HR team uses ActivTrak for employee behavior monitoring.

Cons

Nothing really comes to mind. I have no complaints

Return on Investment

Ability to detect and address misconduct issues as soon as they happen
Streamlines disciplinary matters and investigations involving computer activity
Peace of mind, knowing that ActivTrak is always watching

We do not currently use the employee productivity features of ActivTrak, other than to look at overall activity patterns when we suspect that an employee is stealing from the clock or otherwise avoiding work.

Alternatives Considered

Before AcvtivTrak, we used Specter from Veriato. During the process that resulted in us choosing ActivTrak, we also looked at ObservIT.

Support Rating

I have not needed support but my understanding is that our IT team has received very good support when they reached out for it.

Usability

Very easy to use - simple interface, clear organization, logical structure and labeling

Likelihood to Recommend

Very effective for monitoring IT/cyber threats and employee/user activity. When we believe an employee has violated company policy in either of these areas, we can easily review their activity and confirm. Having the screenshots that show exactly what was done is also extremely helpful in building a case against an employee for their misconduct.
