Overall Satisfaction with Acumatica

We utilize Acumatica for financial information currently (AP, AR, f/s)
Will be adding further capabilities (inventory --> online store)
Possibly will add in manufacturing, estimating, etc.

Acumatica solves the problem of having disjointed systems and brings everything under one roof.
Scope of our use case is to build a system that talks, to better equip our team to understand the business data

Pros

  • Consolidating information through reporting
  • Drilling down between areas within the system
  • Customizable reports that can become more optimized over time

Cons

  • Difficult to implement
  • Missing fixed assets in Canada as a built in
  • Missing Canadian method of calculating interest as a built in in the system
  • Missing Canadian PST as a built in
  • Reduced double data entry
  • Improved speed of AR
  • Better insight at fingertips
We'll be looking at adding a customer portal for payment which will be a big improvement
We'll be looking at adding the ability to collect payment in the field
Looking to add the ability to accept signatures electronically
All of these will make it easier on our customers and save them time
Procurement will be a big help when implemented with inventory

It is well suited for creating a single system that brings all of our data together. Our accounting team can be more in tune with other areas of the business and likewise for those other areas of the business.
It reduces double entry, etc and brings us faster reporting.
It is less suited as it doesn't have some of the functionality we initially thought it did
