Adaptive will change the way we handle the budgeting process as well as increase efficiency.
Overall Satisfaction with Adaptive Suite
We are just implementing Adaptive Planning and Discovery and have recently seen a demo of the OfficeConnect product. I truly believe the OfficeConnect product will transform the way we do financial statements as well as the year end audit. To have have ability to refresh reports by pointing and clicking will definitely increase the efficiency and productivity of all our processes.
- Adaptive gives us the ability to view information at several levels that we can not easily do in our ERP system.
- The workflow process will enable to see where users are at in the budgeting process. In the past, we used excel spreadsheets which was inefficient and allowed for things to be missed.
- Ability to filter and search on sheets
- Ability to adjust column widths in sheets to make more readable.
- Suppress columns with 0 value.
The fact that the software was built in the cloud and can be accessed from anywhere, is definitely a plus. None of the big vendors we looked at were in the cloud, they were either just looking into or in the initial stages. But again, they might be putting their application in the cloud, but they did not rebuild the entire applications. They also do not have all products in the cloud, only some. I was asked by one major vendor why would you want it in the cloud. Just from that statement, it turned me off. One of the biggest factors was the cost and IT support. Adaptive's cost was much lower and there is very little IT support required..
It's too early for us to tell how effective the product will be, but I have great confidence.

Evaluating Adaptive Suite and Competitors
Yes - We replaced Alight Planning with Adaptive. Alight was a difficult product to use and very slow. We were not able to roll out to the units and had no workflow.

Most of the vendors we looked at were going to cost significantly more and would require full IT support.
Adaptive Suite Implementation
So far everything is going well. As we learn more about the product and unlock more uses of the software, I could see a second phase of implementation.
Change management was a small part of the implementation and was well-handled - We are currently implementing, but are working on changing the way we handle various processes. As an example, Enrollment management was done on an excel spreadsheet and we have built into Adaptive which will increase the efficiency as well as providing updates immediately.
