Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat
I like how much easier it is fo me to make needed adjustments to a Word Document that I have converted to PDF. Instead of having to recreate the Document or convert back to Word (which depending on the format of the original document can be a great feature as well but does not convert certain formats - the way I created on my end in an editable manner). It saves hours of time, and my most used feature. I can frequently add much more than missing or adding text. Adobe Acrobat and its associated features are leaps and bounds more use friendly than just a few years ago.
Pros
- Allows me to create editable documents on my end.
- Allows me to send the final version in in a format that cannot be edited
- Just being able to print anything from an email to a webpage into a permanent document is invaluable.
Cons
- Conversion of my PDF document back to my original Word document (one I created) consistently.
- When editing, it is often difficult to match fonts - I.E. obviously I am using a document I used for something else and have modified.
- On my PDF documents, it is sometimes hard to add certain things like an image or remove certain things. I have trouble figuring out why this is sometimes the case and other times not.
- I sell commercial real estate. I have 3 basic templates I use for marketing that I think are outstanding. It is invaluable to quickly sub in the information for a different piece of property than recreate the wheel.
- I have had countless sales that resulted from the ultimate Buyer calling/inquiring about a property that "they were so caught by the marketing product, they needed to know more about the property".
- Similarly, my marketing (listing) proposals and brokers opinions of value, have been the difference maker in countless listings, and a steady stream of BOV's (at $1,800 - $2,000 each) for potential listings, banks, trustees, attorneys, court cases, estates, etc., as the word got out of their quality, accuracy and professionalism.
- Cloud Solutions
- Integration with Other Systems
- Ease of Use
No single factor, it is multiple. I am looking to expand on the other features Adobe Acrobat has to improve on an already great product.
Overall, my documents have been safe, I trust cannot be modified and have ha no legal issues. I had an instance, yet to determine the cause or the fix, where all of my Adobe Acrobat documents prior to late 2020 were corrupted and cannot be opened on my laptop (Microsoft platform). Fortunately, I have them on my Apple iPhone in Dropbox and they are not corrupted there. I occasionally print to PDF and the document will not open ever - it's normally just lost.
I don't use any of the aforementioned anymore, so that pretty much says it all. They don't stack up. I use Salesforce, but not for document saving. Only for it's other CRM features. Microsoft 365 Business I use, but there is always a needed add on when it comes to document creation.
