- Scalability
- Integration with Other Systems
Scalability is the biggest feature when we look at tools. Can the tool handle substantial workloads, without hogging computing resources so we can handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Additionally, having a quickly edited document that can be stored locally or within the cloud is convenient and effortless. Document handling has always been a strong feature for Adobe Acrobat that appears more constrained with competing PDF solutions.
We have not experienced any security or compliance issues over the years with Adobe Acrobat. The password protection, allowing of specific users to view/edit documents, along redaction tools for private/restricted information, allow our organization to trust that we are using the right product.
Adobe Acrobat has been the market leader against these other solutions for our organization when needing more robust, enterprise grade features. Cost versus benefit has placed Adobe Acrobat at or near the top option for our organization. Some of the other solutions do singular functions well or have a free model that can be appealing for infrequent use.
