Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat
I regularly create PDFs to share to prevent alterations of the file. This allows team members to provide feedback as well as protect sensitive company information as we have access to HIPAA and always make sure we are not releasing HIPAA.
Pros
- Creating fillable forms for employees to provide needed information in a consistent format
- Ability to detect information from scanned files
- Exporting to other formats and keeping the formatting and look
Cons
- web vs desktop - they are not the same and cause confusion
- Would be nice to have a cloud based similar to the Microsoft office products to allow for easier collaboration
- Cost - you have to have the pro to have all features and this is not cost effective for small business
- Form entry is the easiest with this product helping reduce data entry errors
- Easiest product to capture true digital signatures
- Training can be difficult and hard for some learners to grasp the more complex features
- Integration with Other Systems
- Other
Some of the features that are accessable through Adobe are not available in competitive software. There are features that are needed based on business and the only way to obtain is by buying this product. It is also very widely used so some access is required to be successful.
While there are a lot of features that could be called out, I think the primary are the regulatory compliance with redaction due to the sensitive nature of information that we have access to. I also feel the digital signature is very important for legal matters - harder to challenge than other forms of signature capture may be.
