Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat
I am the sole user of the Adobe Suite at my organization. I primarily use it on an as-needed basis. Specifically to edit forms or PDFs I am given or create using other Adobe Products like InDesign or Illustrator. We have many in our organization who need quick edits to PDFs for bills or other things that require me to edit little things.
Pros
- For quick edits to make signature documents
- For converting to images quickly
- OCR scanning of a document
- Exporting to a Word Doc
Cons
- The export to Word is often clunky and you are not able to edit the doc easily once exported
- It struggles with the OCR if document was scanned in at a slight angle
- Handwriting scanning is still pretty rough
- It makes it quick to search through documents in a file structure
- Very easy to remove content and add content to existing forms
- Very handy to lock documents to restrict access to unauthorized users
- Integration with Other Systems
- Ease of Use
The single most important factor in my organization for our usage of Adobe Acrobat was the ability to quickly edit and export provided documents. Also, the ability to scan via OCR for content in provided documents. We have a very small marketing department so all of us are required to help other departments with their PDFs.
To be honest, this is not a major factor in our organization.
